"Hey," there was a knock on Kians room door. "No hot water tonight."

Kian sighed. "The super isn't answering?"

"No. Sorry." Blake gave him puppy dog eyes. "I don't know. You can always get one of the big pots and heat water up like that."

Kian sighed again. "Yeah. Thanks."

Kian was used to this. He always had to heat up water or eat less than what he should at his age. It wasn't easy for him. But, luckily he recently got a job.

Smartly, he felt he should start working. Jackie worked but she only got $300 a week from it. Her culinary education was free but, she still had bills to pay.

Kian had went online and signed up for a few websites that can help him get a job. He didn't know what he was good at besides drawing so he was open to anything. Finally, he got an email from a lady name Jackie Manchester, who had been looking for a babysitter.

*****

Kians alarm went off. It was time to get ready for his first job.

Me: Hey, getting ready now. I need your address.

Boss: Hey! Thanks again. Do you need to be brought over here or do you have what you need?

Me: Lol. It isn't in some crazy location is it?

Boss: Haha no. But it is in a gated community.

Gated community? Kian thought.

Me: Well um..okay. If it isn't too much. I guess I'll send my address, lol.

Boss: Okay :) See you soon.

Kian sent his new boss his address. About an hour later, a long limousine pulled up infront of his crappy building, in his crappy neighborhood.

"What the hell," Kian said to himself, quietly. He stood up and got into the limo.

"Kian Manchester?" A dark man asked from the drivers seat.

"Ugh, yeah," he said with hesitation.

"Why such uncertainty?" The driver lightly laughed.

"I just um...I've never been in a limo before," Kian smiled a little. "Fancy."

"Well," the driver cleared his throat. "Get comfy. You'll get used to it at some point." The driver pulled up the privacy tab and began driving.

Get used to it? Kian didn't know what to think of his current situation. He didn't think his new boss was going to be rich. Especially with a limo. What's to be expected?

******
Kian had dozed off during the drive. When they arrived the driver had to wake him up.

Stepping out the limo, Kian was flabbergasted. The house, no, the mansion was huge. It was made of glass, atleast three stories. It was surrounded by tree's, making the atmosphere around it fresh. The inside must be beautiful.

"Mr. Manchester?" The driver tapped his shoulder.

Mr. Manchester? He repeated in head. Fancy.

"Hmm?"

"Shall we go in?"

"Uhh, yeah."

The driver laughed to himself, beginning the walk to the front door. "Your uncertainty for things is very alarming. Live life with no regrets. Trust me, it's worth it."

The driver knocked on the door. A few moments later, a beautiful dark skin woman answered the door.

"Rufus," she smiled.

"Hello Ms. Welths. Your babysitter has arrived."

Jackie opened the door wider. When she saw the boy, she was a little surprised at his appearance but shrugged it off eventually.

"Come in," she smiled. Kian walked in the door and immediately his eyes scanned the place. "Rufus you coming?"

"No Ms. Welths. Call me when you need me," he smiled before walking away.

Jackie closed the door. "So, you ready to hear about the job?"

Kian smiled. "Yeah."

They walked up a long case of steps. They walked into an area that was both a large kitchen, and a large living room.

"Come sit." She patted a seat next to her at the kitchen bar. "So, this job pays $20 an hour and-"

"$20?"

Jackie laughed a little. "Yes but don't worry, it's very easy. My daughter is upstairs. She's usually in her room drawing. Your only job is to make sure she eats, takes a bath or shower, does her homework, and is in bed by nine. She can bathe herself and what not."

"Okay. Um-"

"If there isn't food already cooked, I'll probably leave money in here for food. Lastly, my son," she sighed. "He's upstair and will probably stay up there. Just don't bother him. He's very anger filled. Don't worry about him though. Okay?"

"Okay."

"Alright," she sighed. "I have to go." She rushed up out the seat and walked right back down to the door.

Kian thought his new boss was beautiful, he couldn't lie. She was wearing an all white suite that matched perfectly with her beautiful dark skin. He was going to get used to this alright.

*****

Thirty minutes went by and no sign of either child. She hadn't told him where to find the little girl so he decided to go looking himself.

He walked up the last flight of steps. When he did, there were six doors. All had been closed except once. In the room was a light pink walk looking straight at him. He walked up to it and peaked in.

A little girl had been humming. She looked messy, paint covered.

He knocked on the door. "Hello."

She looked up. "Oh! Hello," she waved her hand. "You must be Kian," she stood up. "I'm Jaqueline." She reached up to shake his hand.

"Hey," he greeted, shaking her hand. "What are you up to?"

"Painting."

"Painting what?" He smiled.

"A flower for my mommy. She likes flowers so I'm painting her one. Come look," she said excitedly.

Kian walked further in the room. It was huge.

"Look, you see." She held up the painting and Kian was amazed. It was stunning.

"How old are you again?" He asked

"How old are you again?" He asked.

"Seven."

Kian was shocked. "Wow."

Okay, Kian was intrigued.
