Natalie screamed her throat out. She squirmed in the firm grip of the mysterious invisible force which dragged her on and on. Her clothes were all covered in mud and blood was oozing out of her blemished skin.  Her tear stricken face was all swollen and adorned with bloody scratches. Crucifying pain shot up her rib cage as she was being mercilessly dragged over twigs, rocks and stones. Her long lustrous hair was now covered with twigs and dry leaves. What was happening? she didn't even have a clue.

"Leave me alone!!!" she howled in pain. The grip around her ankles tightened.

"What do you want from me???" she questioned the force.

Was it an invisible human?  or a wild mysterious animal? One thing was sure, it was barbaric and merciless. Natalie caught hold of a stone and threw it behind her, hoping that it would hit the force. The moment the stone came in contact with it, it shred down to pieces. Natalie's eyes nearly bulged out of its sockets as a second wave of panic hit her. How was she going to save herself? But she was persistent.  She kept throwing whatever she could grab on from the ground and she squirmed with all her might. The force wouldn't let her go.  As more and more things that she threw, collided with the force, feeble green sparks were emitted into the atmosphere around it.

A smirk appeared on Natalie's face. Now she knew that, whatever it was, it wasn't invincible. She had her chances as well. Using all the force she could, she flipped and landed on her back, loosening herself from the mysterious force that was about to become the death of her. She was still in its clutches.

It was invisible, inaudible, incomprehensible but still, it had grabbed on to her ankles. That meant she could grab on to it too. She pulled herself upwards with a jolt and reached for it. Her fingers felt warm, it was like there was a change of air around it. The moment her fingers trespassed into the aura of the force, tremendous amount of energy emanated from it, into her, into the surroundings, everywhere. With the sudden shock, flailing her arms in the air, she fell on the ground.

Numb to pain, she looked up at the clear sky above as she was being dragged again. Her thoughts started to run in weird patterns. She was regretting all the choices she made since the trip to this mountain. What did she even do to deserve this pain? she thought. 'Death is better than suffering' a voice told her from inside. She wished someone came to her rescue right now. 'No one can help you if you can't help yourself', another voice told her. If only she could fly freely like the birds above. Tears had clouded her vision. She blinked a few times. wait... are they...?

"Dragons" she whispered.  When you can't find hope, hope makes it sure that it is found.
