"Yes, this weekend you're coming up. No further questions." My grandma explains to me.
"So does that mean Jack is coming?" I ask, referring to my brother.
"No, he has to work on his music, and you shouldn't be there to distract him." She clearly states.
"Okay, but it's like Thursday or something,"
"Yes it's Thursday, so get packing, because you're leaving tomorrow. Have fun driving." I can hear her old lady smirk through the phone.
"Driving?!" I almost scream.
"Yes, we have gas money."
"But-"
"Get packing, you better be here by Saturday or Sunday." And with that, she hangs up.
I have a day to pack, well less.
I have to leave like Friday in the morning to be able to get there on Saturday.
I go into my closet and grab a suitcase and set it open on my bed.
I have to pack enough clothes for probably 5 days to 7.
I start by throwing in; underwear, bras, and socks.
Then I throw in shorts, jeans, leggings and yoga pants.
I get crop tops, tank tops, t-shirts, flannels, and other muscle tees.
I get pjs and put them in there.
I grab a few pair of shoes and out them in there followed by my hair straightener and hair curler.
I put my make up bag in there and leave my hairbrush out with my perfume, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste for tomorrow.
I barley zip up my suitcase and set it by my door and walk down stairs.
"You're a lucky fuck." I say under my breath to my brother.
"I know." He smirks.
"Do you even know why?"
"Yeah, because I'm amazing."
I chuckle, and Jack comes up behind me, my brother still doesn't know about us, so as hard as it probably was for Jack, he wasn't to touchy.
Jack J gives me a questioning look. "What?"
"You don't have to go up to grandmas." I roll my eyes.
Jack J laughs "ohmygod! Haha! Sucks to be you!" He laughs harder and I just smile at him and I feel Jacks arm that was around my waist, tense up a little.
"The one that lives in Seattle?" He asked quietly, but loud enough for us to hear over Jack Js laugh.
I nod my head and look down.
"Can I come with?" He smiles and I can hear my heart already break, because I have to tell him no.
"Jack, her an my mom discussed this, they said that I should go for a week-"
"A week?!" He almost screams.
"Yes, now let me finish. they think it's better if I leave for a week so you and Jack can focus on your music, which you guys should do."
His eyes show pure sadness.
I sigh, and hug him tightly.
"I don't wanna go, but this is a good idea and you know it." I say, and look up at him because of the height difference.
He strokes my hair, "I know babygirl, but ima miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too, Jack. but, we can text, FaceTime, snapchat. It's only a week, maybe less."
I can see a little sadness go away when I mention that it might actually be less then a week.
-Friday-
I hug Jack hard one more time, at 7am while my car is warming up.
"I'm gonna miss you," I sniffle.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. Remember, we can text, facetime, snapchat, all that, I'll be waiting when you get back," he reassures me and I smile.
I wipe my eyes as we release and we both smile at each other.
Then I stop, "how am I gonna sleep Jack?"
He face goes blank, "you're gonna have to imagine as if I'm with you, baby."
He rubs his thumb on my cheek before kissing my forehead, "go, I don't want your grandma to get mad."
I get a few tears in my eyes again, and Jack quickly wipes them, "go."
I nod, and get into my car, and drive to hell for a week.
