You were in Bokuto's apartment. You were actually surprised by how neat it was. It wasn't immaculate, it had a few messes here and there, but it was actually well kept. "This is a nice place you got here," you tell him.
"Thanks!" Bokuto places the bags down on the kitchen table and so do you. You take out the tissues that he asked for and some cough drops you picked up for him. You toss them to Bokuto.
"Now go rest. I'll make you some tea with honey and some chicken noodle soup. You have to get better or you'll disappoint your fans tomorrow!"
"Yes, ma'am"
Bokuto thanks you for all the stuff before going to his room and sleeping. He didn't seem too sick, just looks like he caught a little cold. As long as he doesn't get a fever he will be fine.
You put water in the tea kettle and take everything you will need to make the soup out as you wait for the water to boil. You soon hear the whistling of the kettle and grab a tea cup to pour it in. You let it brew a couple minutes before taking the tea bag out and putting in the honey. You slowly walk to Bokuto's room with the tea you made for him.
You pause at the door though. Why am I nervous about going into Bokuto's room? It's not like it would be your first time entering a boy's room, and you were in his room before when you two were in high school, so why was this different? You shake it off and open the door.
Oh wow.
His apartment shocked you, but his room shocked you even more. Not because it was super messy or super clean, but by how much it hadn't changed since you knew him in high school. He had a few pictures up, volleyball stuff just about everywhere, his goal board, and some other stuff you would expect to see in a boy's room such as a pile of clothes in the corner which you assumed was designated as Bokuto's dirty laundry hamper. The thing that surprised you the most though was on top of his drawer. It was his owl plush. But it wasn't just any owl plush, it was the one you gave him your second year of high school for his birthday. Something about a grown man keeping the owl plushie you got him back in high school just melts your heart a bit, but also makes you want to giggle because that is just such a Bokuto thing to do.
"Why are you just standing there?" You heard Bokuto say. He was laying on his bed, all wrapped under his blanket.
"I just think it's funny that you still have that plushie." You say coming over and placing the tea on the stand next to him. "Aren't you a little too old for plushies?"
"Hey, you can never be too old for plushies!" He said with a small laugh. His voice getting a little squeaky from him being sick when he tried to do a higher pitch. "My sisters say the same thing though when they come over to visit, but I like it so it stays." He sits up from his bed. "Thank you for the tea. You didn't have to do all this." He looked down.
"I'm pretty lame, huh? I ask you out on a date and then I get sick and here you are taking care of me. Not very cool."
"Bokuto, it's fine. I really don't mind. I'm sure you would have done the same for me. You couldn't help getting sick. Plus, I'm here to make sure you recover quickly so we can go on our date." You sit down on his bed next to him before asking him how he's feeling.
"It's mostly just a sore throat and a runny nose. I think it's just a cold."
"Have you checked if you have a temperature lately?"
"Ahh umm no.. " Bokuto said scratching head and looking to the side. "I actually don't know where my thermometer is so I haven't had the chance."
"Bokuto you could have a low fever and we wouldn't even know! You are kind of pale. Let me see if you feel warm. " You lean in closer to him to feel his forehead with your hand.
