The two bros end up in hell,and don't have memory in how they got there.
Now the bros have to discover how they came here in the first place and meet new friends and enemies on the way.
Mugman opens his eyes to he was straped in a chair not able to brake free, everything around him was pitch black, making it hard to him see, he could hear voices though, they sounded familiar...to familiar. But they were hard to make from there ghastly echos in the darkness.
Mugman: Hello...? Who's there?
???: Why...?
Mugman: What?
???: Why did you leave us?
Mugman: wha...?
???: You left us to die...?
???: We trusted you...
???: You abandoned us...
???: Why...?
Mugman: I- I don't know what you mean.
???: He doesn't seem to remember what he did..
???: ..Or maybe He doesn't want to remember..
???: ..Or....He does...and he just doesn't want to admit it..
Mugs then feels a boney arm grab his sholder, which made him shiver in fear as he hears a voice from the back of his head.
Mugman gets out of bed in a rush, Afraid and Confused about what a dream, or Nightmare in this case that he had. Mugs looks at his bro who was still Sleeping, Mugs manages to calm himself down from that. He then looks out at moon lit sky as he ponders on what he had dreamed.
"Well sence I'm awake might as well find some information about this Angel dude that that gal told us about." He thought to himself as he holds the pack that Chi - chi gave him. Mugs has no idea who this Angel Dust is, but if he is the only one to show them where him and his brother can find a place to stay, then he's their guide to a safe haven.
Mugs walks off in the city to find some information about this Angel Dust.
...THE NEXT DAY...
Cups and Mugs walk in the crowded sidewalks, which to Mugmans annoyance. Even ink well wasn't this crowded on the sidewalks.
Mugman: Ugh!!! I can't see a thing with everyone in are way!
Cuphead: What are we doin again?
Mugman: I'm trying to find the location of where this...Angel guy is, but I can't do that if all these people smashing us left and right.
Cuphead: Location?
Mugman: I had been Talking to some folks around the area of ours and most of say that this Angel character, Is possibly in the center of the big city.
Cuphead: Why do we need to hide anyway, we have power's.
Mugman: That we used up! Thanks to our battle, not only did we waste all our power ups and enchantments on that abomination of a machine...
Mugs puts out his pointer finger out, and as he does, a small drop of water comes out.
Mugman: ...but we also are completely drained of powe'a! So if we ever'a bump into anyone who wants to kill us, were screwed!
Cuphead: Good point.
