Chapter 3-3: The Deal and the Stay

I opened the door and walked into a lovely office. At the desk sat Azul. I sighed and sat down on a couch. I turned to him. "Pleasure to finally speak with you Azul."

Had to be on my best behavior to get this over and done with. Azul smiled over at me. "The pleasure is all mine Prefect von Fenris. What do you wish to speak with me about?"

"Shall I get to the point?"

"If you please."

"Very well. I want you to release the students under your control."

"Release 224 students? Afraid not."

"224!? I-what!?"

"Unless...."

"Unless what?"

"You make a deal with me."

".............what are the terms?"

"The terms are that you have to bring me a photo of Prince Rielle from the Atlantica Museum. If you don't, I get your immortality-"

"NO!"

I fell on my knees and clasped my hands together in a begging motion. "Please! Anything but that! Tell me there's anything you want but that!"

-Third Person POV-

Azul felt smug as he watched Vermillion beg. He had her in his grasp. At least, he thought so. So, he tapped his chin as though he was pondering it. "What will you give me?"

Vermillion seemed defeated. "I'll give you my dorm and allow you to use it. You could keep it."

"It's a deal." Azul said as he watched Vermillion sign the contract after looking it over. She handed it back to him with a defeated look. Azul felt smug about that.

-Back to Vermillion, at Lunalupus-

I finished packing up my stuff as well as my mother and Grim. Mother and Grim were still hidden. I stepped into the foyer and sighed seeing Jade and Floyd. "I'll change the place up a bit."

With some magic, the dorm was redesigned. Floyd admired it and Jade turned to me. "Lovely. Now, I bet you can ask your friends if you can stay over."

I was then shoved out of my dorm and keeping my defeated face up until I was out. I exited through the Lunalupus mirror and was surprised to see Ace, Deuce, and Jack on the other side. I smiled at them. Jack turned to me. "I talked with Leona and he's agreeing to let you stay over."

Ace and Deuce smiled at Jack. I went to the Savanaclaw mirror and entered the dorm grounds. My mother and Grim were right beside and the invisibility was off. I entered the dorm and lightened up at seeing Leona waiting for us. He nodded to my mother. "Sirenous. It is nice to see you again."

My mother nodded to him with a smile. "Lovely to see you as well Leona. Mind telling me where we will stay?"

"Well, Ruggie set up the futons in my room since we didn't want to put you through cleaning a room."

"Thank you. Well, we should get some rest now. I have to leave tomorrow for a small mission."

Leona nodded and we followed him up to his room. Grim was quick to claim a futon while I went to go change. Mother changed after I did and the two of us talked. We talked for two hours until a yawn escaped my lips. Mother was quick to push me down and then tuck me in. "Bedtime little miss."

I whined but didn't move. Mother just wanted me to get proper rest after all. So, I curled up and held the blanket close. I soon fell into a peaceful slumber.

-At 3 am in the godforsaken morning-

I could hear heavy breathing. I woke up and looked over at the other futon. Mother and Grim were both fast asleep. I then turned to Leona. I slipped out of my futon and stood up. I stretched my limbs and made my way over to Leona. I slipped onto the bed and propped him up. I let my back hit the covers and pulled him so that he could use me as a pillow.

-The Next Morning, Third Person POV-

Ruggie entered Leona's room and saw him using Vermillion as a pillow. Leona was clinging to her pretty tightly and Vermillion was still asleep. Ruggie walked over and nudged Vermillion's shoulder. Vermillion opened one eye and fixed it on Ruggie. The smile she gave was a sleepy one. "Hey Hyena. Leo's using me as a pillow because he had a nightmare."

Ruggie nodded and decided to whisper. "We have Magift training. Can you please wake him?"

"Sure. Give me a couple minutes."

-35 Minutes Later, Back to Vermillion-

I was close to tossing Leona over my shoulder, but he thankfully woke up. I escorted him downstairs to where the others were waiting. I turned to Ruggie who nodded and gestured for us to get moving. After a while, we arrived at the training grounds.

"So, where's Sirenous?" Ruggie asked.
"Errands, also why are we still training?" I asked.
"It's for the Inter High Magift Tournament." Leona replied.
"I've heard about that from Aunt Hel!" I exclaimed.
"Seriously?" Jack asked.
"Mhm. My aunt teaches at RSA disguised as 'Helia-sensei.' Seen her?" I asked.

Leona spat out his water and started choking. I rushed over and patted him on the back. Leona turned to me in surprise. "Your aunt teaches those clean brats?"

I nodded, raising an eyebrow. "Yes? She teaches Alchemy there and is all about having first year students do the harder potions to watch them fail miserably. It's like she hates the first years."

"So, you and your aunt are basically enemies?"

"Nope. Never will."

"Well, we're done for today so let's go."

-Timeskip, 7:34 pm-

Mother entered the dorm with a grin lighting up her features. She got some dinner and said she'd explain everything after dinner. I was anxiously awaiting her words.

-After Dinner-

The four of us gathered in Leona's room. Grim was anxious as well as myself. Leona turned to my mother. I nodded to her. "What did you find out?"

Mother stared at me. "Remember that safe?"

"Mhm."

"That's where the contracts can never be destroyed. If we just sit and wait, then they won't think much of it. Azul will be gloating and assume we won't follow through. Leona, mind hearing out my plan?"

Leona nodded as the three of us listened in.

"So are we all in agreement?" Mother asked.
"Sounds stable." Leona said.
"A plan of worth! That's my mother!" I said happily.
"I'll explain to Ruggie and Savanaclaw tomorrow morning. Go to sleep you three." Mother said.

The three of us nodded as I thought happily to myself. That sneak won't know what hit him.
