☁️ Third Person ☁️

Saturday, 11:37am.
The day of his funeral.

They weren't able to save him that day.
Sero had tried to use his tape to catch the boy, but he was too late.
Kirishima had hardened his body and jumped down quickly, hoping to catch him, but he was too late.
Denki had gotten multiple teachers to come help, hoping that they could do something to help him, but he was too late.
Mina had called an ambulance, hoping they would get here in time to save him, but she was too late.

They all blamed themselves. If they had just been quicker. If they had just gotten there in time.
You see, they knew what was happening, because Bakugou had left a note on each of their door's, saying that he loved them and that he would be waiting in the afterlife for them when their time was up, to show them around and catch up with them. And he ended the note with a goodbye. And they all moved as fast as their legs could go, no matter how much they ached, but they weren't fast enough..

They all blamed themselves, so here they were, at his funeral.
Class 1A were all there as well, regretting everything they had ever done to him. But alas, they were too late. And they couldn't bring him back now.

The Bakusquad was up front. None of them wanted to go, they didn't want their last memory of their best friend to be in a casket, no longer breathing.

No longer alive to shout at them for messing up a math question.
No longer alive to hit them on the head with a roll of paper for spelling a simple word wrong.
No longer alive to call them the stupid nicknames that they had all loved so fucking much.
No longer alive.

All of them were crying, except one.
This confused all of them deeply.
Why wasn't he crying?

Well, the answer is simple.
Kirishima couldn't feel anything. He had cried every night since the accident, and he simply had no tears left in his eyes. They were completely dry, but they were red, and puffy, and although he tried his best to make himself look presentable, he still looked like a mess.

His hair was down, his usual blinding smile had now been permanently turned into a frown, and no matter how much people tried to get him to smile, it never worked. Kirishima stood by his casket at the front, looking in it with eyes full of sadness. He wanted to cry, he didn't want to feel emotionless, and not only that but he needed to cry. He felt like he was going to explode. But he couldn't.

He was slightly angry, not at Bakugou, nor anyone else in the Bakusquad. But at himself, and everyone else there. He turned away from the casket, staring at all of the people who were seemingly sad.

"Why?" He said quietly.
Many people turned to look at him, and others kept their heads down, ignoring him.

"Why?!" He yelled, his voice cracking as he did so. It didn't sound like Kirishima. It sounded like a male who was full of anger, guilt, and sadness.

"Eijiro Kirishima, what the hell do you think you're doing?" Endeavor said.

"Oh shut the fuck up. Now answer my fucking question! Why?!"
They all stared shocked, at the the fact that the sunshine boy was shouting. Endeavor stormed out (throwing a tantrum), but none of them really cared, especially not Peppermint boy.

"Why are you all here?!"
This was what made them super confused.
"Because it's Bakugou's funeral...?" Momo said.

"Is that it? Just because you don't want to seem heartless. I can guarantee you all have something 'better' to do."

"Momo probably has a massive shopping spree planned with the rest of the girls, excluding Mina, Deku probably has to go into a meeting with Allmight and loads of other pro heroes, Todoroki is probably going to go with Deku."

"All of you have something else planned after this! You wanna know who doesn't?! Bakugou! Because you all pushed him over the fucking edge! You're all monsters! You're here because 'it's his funeral' but you never even cared enough to wish him a happy birthday. Why the fuck would any of you care that he's dead. You wanna know who stuck by him until his very last breath, even in the hospital?" Kirishima finally stopped, running out of breathe for a second before continuing, pointing at the other members of the Bakusquad who were standing up,

"Us! We didn't put him in a muzzle after he won a victory that he damn well deserved and had worked hard for! We didn't give up on him just because he had anger issues that he had no idea how to control like Deku did! We didn't turn our back on him when he needed us the most...

But you all did. You all ignored the fact that he was hurting. And I hate all of you. But I hate myself even more. I should've noticed that my best friend was in pain. I should've seen it.." And that was when he broke down, falling to his knees and just sobbing uncontrollably, hiding his face in his hands. Everyone was shocked, to say the least. But the Bakusquad wasn't done yet.

"What Kirishima said." Denki stepped forward, speaking calmly unlike the red-head did.
"Bakugou was an amazing person, and I wish I realised it sooner than I actually did. He might not have shown it, but he would've gave up his life for all of you without even hesitating. He cared for all of us, and nobody realised except four people. You should be ashamed." He then bent down and began to rub Kirishima's back, doing soft circle motions, he knew this usually always calmed his best friend.

Mina sniffled, looking at the broken boy on the floor who was being comforted by Denki.

"They're both right. You all refused to look past his anger issues, whereas we didn't. We all saw that he was a lonely boy who just needed people to be there for him. And we were. But... Four people is not enough for a boy who was as broken as him. And everyday, the Bakusquad will regret not getting to him sooner, we will forever regret not choosing to stay the night with him, talking and laughing about everything, we will forever regret that we didn't show him how much we loved him more often. Because we did, and we still do."

"You all better bet your asses that you're gonna go to heaven after you die, because if I die before you all, I'll sure as hell make sure you get your places in the worst parts of hell." Sero growled, Denki standing up and nodding, agreeing to help Sero with what he said.

And so, the day ended with everyone in tears. They thought about what the group said, and they realised that everything they said was right. They should've chose to be there for him.

But they weren't.
And they never could be.

Because he was gone..
