Fast forward again. I've become as strong as I can be, training with Aether endlessly day after day, and without managing to get caught from sneaking out. It was finally the day.
Few days after my birthday passed and I've been waiting for this day to arrive more than ever. I've been blessed by the palace staff with new attire, and I found it suitable for travel, so I decided to wear it more often.
It was a beautiful light lavender top with elbow length angel sleeves. A deep red belt connected the top with a purple long see-through lace skirt. It was divided into two halves, one on both sides of my hips. It had gorgeous waves and flower designs sewed onto the edges and lower half. It also came with pure white leggings that also had a stunning gem pattern on the left side of it. Luna also gifted me with matching light purple gloves that had cream ruffles near the opening. Truly, I felt thankful for this wonderful gift, and I topped it off with some black boots in the back of my closet.
"One more thing, Rai," Luna entered my room as I was putting the finishing touches on my hair. I turned my attention to the librarian as she carefully pulled a small cloth from her front pocket, which looked like it hid something within it. She unwrapped the garment and it revealed an angelic charm that shined a bright purple, just how the design on my sword case did.
She motioned me to turn around to face the mirror once more, and she clipped the charm onto the back of my belt. Luna stepped back and let me have a look for myself.
"I went back to the place where your sword was, and found that behind the stone block. I figured it goes with the outfit," She explained. However I only looked at her in confusion, wondering how I never noticed it before.
"Heh, I know you're how you never saw it. It's quite small and it's easy to miss, plus it was behind the block and you were too entranced by your finding to search further." I looked back in the mirror, to see from behind me, the purple glow coming from it. I gasped in amazement.
"It's quite beautiful Luna." I turned to the woman and flashed a warm smile. Night fell onto the kingdom, and it was finally time to leave. "Is it ready?"
"They're waiting for you in your usual spot dear," She walked towards the window, looking down at the twins from a distance. They also had interesting attire on.
I took my sword from the top of my bed, and decided to leave the case under the wooden plank underneath my bed for safe keeping. I definitely won't return back here anytime soon. "Lead the way," I said to her confidently. Luna chuckled at my braveness and didn't move.
"Sweetheart, you can't go outside with your sword out in the open." She stepped closer to me and my blade and somehow, with a glide of her hand on top of it, she made it trickle into golden dust. "It's still in tack so do not fret. You are capable of retrieving it once more, just extend your arm out and pretend you're about to grab it." The librarian reached out her hand and demonstrated. I followed her actions and a few seconds passed by, the sword reappeared into my hand. My eyes widened in astonishment as I had just witnessed some type of magic.
"How..." I closely examined my blade, looking for any kinds of hints it left behind.
"You will learn in the near future. Right now, let's get you outside, yes?" She led me to the door. I took an inhale and spun around to look at my room, one last time.
Before I headed out, I looked at myself in the mirror once more, to reveal a confident, strong woman I've grown to be. I turned back towards the exit and closed the door behind me. Luna led me down the windy steps and carefully towards one of the back entrances of the palace.
"You sure did sneak me out quickly..." I took note of how beautiful the night sky looked from above.
"The guards rarely come to that side of the palace, so it was easy." She looked down at me as I exited the doorway, entering the small garden, and she stayed back. "Oh, before you go Rai..."
