"When we woke up, it was just the two of us all alone, until we met you a two months ago,"
"Yeah, Paimon really owes you for that, otherwise Paimon most likely would've drowned!" The small creature thanked us once again.
I don't know how many years ago the incident was, but it felt like a while. Aether and I happened to wake up near one another, but our conscious was wiped out completely.
Few months passed by and we met the small creature who went by the name of 'Paimon' who promised to be our guide throughout Teyvat, the world we're stuck in.
Luckily, the seal from my necklace protected my Vision, however most of the power from the necklace drained already, and I still felt like a part of my Vision was missing. I somehow still had my wings intact, just they couldn't be put to use, so they're just sagging away.
"So, Paimon will do her best to be a great guide."
Aether and I looked at each other, with hope in our eyes, hoping we could eventually find Lumine somewhere. He sat on the large rock, while I just sat peacefully in the sand.
"Thanks Paimon," I smiled at the little creature as she set her hands on her hips, looking proud.
"We should head off now. Let's get going!" Paimon started to float off away from us. Aether and I stood up from where we were sitting, and started to follow her.
As Paimon was a few feet ahead of us, Aether and I kept the same pace. Though I was feeling a little off since I had woken up.
"Hey Aether, can you just lightly pinch my arm?" I questioned as we kept walking.
He looked over, raising an eyebrow at me, then looking down at the arm I held out to him. He reached over to aggressively pinch the skin on my hand. I whined in slight pain as he started giggling at me.
"I said lightly, Aether..." I pulled my hand away from him as I rub it in care, attempting to sooth the pain.
"Best to make light of the situation at least," He scrunched his face and shrugged it off. "Least you know you're still alive,"
I looked away from the boy as Paimon stopped in front of a red glowing contraption.
"This thing is called a teleport waypoint! Just interact with it to activate it." She floated off to the side, probably waiting for us to do something.
I looked over to the blonde boy as he stood there, so I offered to step up and place a palm on the smooth, cold surface.
The contraption started glowing brightly for a few moments, then it started to glow a beautiful shade of blue.
"Perfect! Let's keep going then," The floating creature then ventured off, leaving us trailing behind.
I looked around at the large cliffs and vastly green areas on the dirt path. That very dirt path led up to a small, rock edge.
"Looks like you guys have to climb up to continue onto the path,"
"Relax, I've got this." Aether brushed off the dirt on his clothes and readily stood in a running position.
In the blink of an eye, he started sprinting to the rock edge, hoping he could leap high enough to at least get to the top of the ledge.
However, the rockside seemed to be a little too smooth for him, so as he grabbed onto a wedge, his grip slipped and he sorrowfully fell on his back in the dirt, making a painful groan escape from his mouth.
I sighed heavily as I walked over him and stood there, looking down at the fallen boy. "And you were saying...?" I teased. I walked around to his side and extended my hand out to him in assistance. He rubbed his head as he got up, and latched onto my arm as I pulled him up to my level.
