The orb in the center is an orb of his magic He hides his horns with his magic on most occasions to hide the fact that he's a warlock.

He wears gloves to hide how his magic has affected him over the years.

Including the scales and spikes around (most of the time hidden with magic.
Powers: simple description/ can do more for each power.
Shadow magic- can shape the shadows into whatever he likes and can even hide himself fully in them (can also do a type of shadow travel) Light magic- can bend the visible light spectrum to make himself invisible, can create balls of light Potions- he is exceptionally good at potions; one of the best Memory magic- ability to remove memories seamlessly, so it doesn't seem like anything was altered; can also retrieve blocked memories easily, no mater who cast the block. Increased senses- hearing, sight, smell, and agility
He has more powers than listed above but those are his specialties.
Scene for meeting the shadowhunters/ Magnus: When they go to get Clary's memories from Magnus at the club...
I was leaning against the railing looking after the warlocks in the club. I came here because I know many warlocks, like Magnus Bane, wouldn't be able to resist themselves even with the circle after them. And it looks like I was right because Magnus Bane is seated at one of the tables fixing his makeup.
As I continue to watch the club, I notice some shadowhunters enter. I can tell that their not circle members, but what are they doing here?
I'm shocked to see them walk up to Magnus Bane and start a conversation, but that doesn't matter once I see a circle member directly behind Magnus.
I raise my unarmed bow and summon one of my shadow arrows. I take aim directly at Magnus and the circle member and fire, using my magic to make it pass through Magnus harmlessly. I shoot the remaining two members that were around as well and head down to pick up my arrows.
"Who is he?" I hear Magnus ask, mostly to himself, once I pass.
I flash my dragon eyes at him with a smirk. I ignore his gasp and snap my fingers to create a portal. "It's not safe for a warlock to be out of hiding right now. Go back to your lair, Magnus."
He bows his head slightly in agreement and walks to the portal, but right before he can walk in he's stopped by one of the shadowhunters.
