" It's been far to long since we've done anything interesting anyway." He started " Az, don't let everything go to shit while we're gone." While sending a question down the bond. Do you want to do it Feyre darling? the question was simple enough but he already knew the answer, she needed to get out. The nod of agreement was all the answer he needed. Sending a look to Cassian and Mor, he stepped through the portal to a land unknown, hand in hand with Feyre. From the corner of his vision he could see Cass and Mor following suit.

Being in the portal felt like winnowing. Only different. Longer. He wrapped his wings around Feyre, keeping her close. Then they fell out onto a stone pathway. Armen was already standing, examining the area.

The city was somewhat like Velaris. It was tall, large, and from what he could see well kept. But at the same time there were some very major differences. There were large polls sticking out of the ground and some sort of plastic string hanging on it. Also the city was on fire. There were corpses everywhere. Some where of monsters others of fae.

"What in the hell....?" Cassian mumbled. "What happened here?" I would have replied if I had not noticed Feyre. She was staring at what seemed to be the center of the city. Or the billowing black smoke rising from it.

" Today is just getting weirder and weirder isn't it?" Armen asked. Before any of us could reply she cut in, "the question was purely rhetorical." "So why did you bring us here Armen?" Mor asked. Armen didn't respond. Her eyes seemed distant, like she was remembering something that she had long forgotten.

Then the thought came to me. "Are you from here Armen?" She barked a laugh, " no. I've been here before though." I decided not to push. I turned my attention back to Feyre. Her eyes had returned distant. Staring at the dead littering the ground. Pain filled her eyes, then was quickly covered up. "We should probably go somewhere, where we can be inconspicuous." Mor cut in. "Genius idea Mor." Cassian taunted, trying to lighten the mood. Mor cut him a glare.

Before they could start fighting Feyre snapped, rather unexpectedly, "be quiet! We move to the smoke, see who we can help, and go home."
That was when I thought to look at the portal, or where it should be. It disappeared. Where it should be was a large gate.
