Linh's POV
We just ate breakfast and now we are going to go on a boat to the middle of the ocean so we can play with sharks and stingrays! I'm so excited, I love playing with animals. "Linh, do you really think that it's a good idea for you to go to the middle of the ocean?" Tam asked with a worried expression on his face. I fought the urge to roll my eyes, I know that he's just looking out for me, but I can take care of myself.
I just nodded and replied, "I'll be fine, I have way more control over my powers now." He sighed but had to agree, I was getting better and had way more control over water than the most powerful hydrokinetics.
"It's true Tam," said a voice, I looked up to see a smiling Wylie. My heart fluttered as he continued, "She has more control over water than any other hydrokinetic I know."
Tam sighed and nodded, "I know." Then he walked away to the boat that they were going to ride in.
"You really think I have that much control?" I asked, purely curious.
He nodded, "It's hard to get control over the elements, and you did it." The way he looked at me made butterflies erupt in my stomach and it suddenly became hard for me to breathe as he leaned closer. "I need to tell you something Linh," he started slowly. He wanted to tell me something? Did he like me? Stop thinking like that Linh!
He leaned against the plan tree that was close to me and said, "I like you Linh, a lot," I was shocked, no doubt about it, Wylie likes me.
"I-I like you too, Wylie," I stuttered out like an idiot.
He didn't seem to notice, instead, he grinned and said, "Thank god, Biana told me you liked me. I didn't really believe her though." My eyes widened. BIANA! I told her not to tell anyone I liked Wylie, and she ends up telling Wylie himself.
"Well, I was the one who told her that I liked you," I said with a smile.
He smiled and then asked her, "So... do you want to be my girlfriend?"
"Do I? Yeah!"
"Great! We should probably go through," he said, pointing his thumb over to Keefe who screamed, "When you're done with your love-fest, we should probably go!" My face burned in embarrassment and Wyllie's cheeks turned an adorable shade of pink. We walked over to the boat and sat down. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Biana smirking at Wylie and I while Tam glared. "So, are you dating?" Biana asked curiously. That made the entire crew turn to me and Wylie. I swallowed as Wylie stammered, "W-well, I-I g-guess." I calmly held his hand and told Biana, "Yeah, we're dating,"
Then she screamed in excitement, "FINALLY! I'm a step closer to my life goal." She didn't seem to realize that she said that last part out loud until her brother asked, "Life goal?"
She blushed slightly and looked away at the view, "Are those stingrays?"
Siena gave Biana an amused look while Sophie said, "Yeah, they are." Keefe rolled his eyes at how Sophie let Biana off the hook, and how she never let him off the hook. Then I realized that Tam hadn't said anything yet and looked at him. He looked somewhat shocked, but soon recovered and was glaring at a squirming Wylie.
I sighed and sat down in the empty seat next to him, "I know you don't like this, but can you please just give Wylie a chance?"
I expected to be greeted by cold silence but he sighed and said, "You're right, I don't approve of it." My heart sank at this but surfaced again as he continued, "But... I know how happy he makes you, so I will put my opinions aside and give him one chance. But if he hurts you..." The threat drifted off, but I hugged him and whispered, thanks.
Tam squirmed in my grip and whisper yelled, "Stop hugging me, I have a reputation to keep." I grinned and let him go, he offered me a little smile as I went to go sit next to Wylie.
"While we are all being honest, Dex and I are also dating," Marella said.
Biana screeched again, "When did this happen, and why didn't I know?"
"It happed last night," Dex said glaring at Biana. What did Biana do?
She seemed to know what she did because she blushed and said, "If I didn't tell her that you liked her, she wouldn't have told you that she liked you." Dex sighed but didn't argue.
"Aww," Sophie squealed, "You guys look so cute together. And Dex has liked you forever."
"Really?" Marella asked Dex amused.
He blushed and mumbled, "Shut-up Sophie, I know how to make you bald." Everyone laughed and enjoyed the rest of the day together.
Bonus
Third Person POV
Biana was standing next to the bar stool sipping on her drink while Tam was next to her, flirting with the barista. "They look cute together, don't they?" Biana asked him absentmindedly.
Tam shook his head, looking away from the barista who was just embarrassing herself and amused Tam. "Nope! I do not approve?"
Biana tilted her head to look at him, "Of Wylie?"
"Of anyone! Linh doesn't need a guy in her life!"
"Aww Tammy, you can't stop love," she cooed at him, smiling softly.
"Love? They are in love? NOPE!"
"They are clearly in love and you can't stop it," Biana teased.
He smirked at her sensing a challenge, "Watch me." Biana grabbed his arm as he tried to stalk toward his sister and Wylie. She pulled him back to her. Now, they were facing each other, noses centimeters apart. Her hand was still wrapped around his wrist and his free hand was gripping the counter she was leaning on. The warmth of his body radiating off of him.
I really hope you guys liked it! It took me like 45 minutes to write and I didn't revise or edit anything, so constructive criticism is welcome.
