Adrien's POV

"I better be going!" Ladybug boops the tip of my nose before extending her yoyo, "Bug out!"

I watch as M'lady zips away. There goes my chance of finally declaring my love for her. Earlier that morning I had been imagining how I could tell her my real feelings, followed by me finally revealing my identity.

I trusted her with my life and was willing to give up my miraculous for her. I was determined to reveal myself to my dear bugaboo. Then hand over my miraculous and win over her heart. That isn't how it turned out though. Let me take you back to before we were battling Mr. Pigeon for the 35th time.

Ladybug had been patrolling from our usual meeting place, patiently waiting for me to arrive. I had just had a photoshoot, hence my tardiness. I extended my pole and leaped down to stand with Ladybug. Her arms were crossed and she was in deep thought. As I stared at her longer I realized she wasn't in thought. No, M'lady had been daydreaming. I gave a warm smile, I never see her like this. Ladybug is known for being all business and loyal to the people of Paris. She was so beautiful when she wasn't business brained and risking her life. Not saying that she wasn't beautiful then too. She just looked so peaceful and stress-free at that moment.

Ladybug turns and jumps in surprise.

"Chat? How long have you been standing there?" She asks, evidently she hadn't seen me leap from my baton.

"I didn't mean to startle you bugaboo!" I say with a smirk, "Were you feline blue because I wasn't at your side?"

She rolls her eyes then gives me a small grin. Her Atlantic blue eyes twinkle and her dark-colored pigtails blow in the wind. She was striking. This was the perfect moment to tell her my hidden feelings.

"My dear Buga-" I am interrupted by a maniacal laugh and pigeon calls.

"Roo Roo! The dawn of the pigeons is here Parisians! Bow down to the pigeon whisperer, Mr. Pigeon!"

"Whatever pun you were going to tell me must wait until after the battle. Or, since it is you we are talking about, during the middle of a serious moment." Ladybug says with a wink.

M'lady winked at me! I sigh dreamily and place my hand over my heart. Extending my baton I quickly chased after Mr. Pigeon and Ladybug.

Now you are caught up with what has been going on. It had been the perfect moment and Mr. Pigeon blew it. Even the ice-cream wasn't enough. My heart was shattered into a million pieces. I picked myself up and waved to Mr. Ramier. Then rapidly jumped from one rooftop to the next as the last few pads on my ring faded away. Beep Beep Beep

I launched myself down through my bedroom window and landed gracefully. I close my eyes as a tear runs down my face. I wipe it away and say the magic words.

"Plagg, claws in," I say with a sad edge to my voice.

Plagg lands in my palm and I hand him a triangular slice of the stinky camembert cheese he loves so much. He gobbles it in a split second and holds out his paw for more.

"Sorry, Plagg. That's the only one I have right now. I can give you more later." I tell him as I place him on my desk.

"What!? Sir! SIR!" He yells after me.

When I ignore his calling he shrugs and zips to his secret stash of cheese.

"What's wrong kid?" Plagg questions me

"It's just Ladybug. Not her exactly, more or less me not being able to tell her something important." I inform him.

"Like I have told you before. Why go for girls, when you can go for cheese? It is such an easier relationship. You walk on over pick a piece up, give it a classy pickup line. Then you hold up the deliciously smelling goodness and shove it in your mouth. Quick and painless, and it satisfies your hunger." Plagg tells me for the 100th time.
