Ugh, look at the delicious French toast on the side! Makes me want to have breakfast right now (at 9 pm, oops!). I hope you like the chapter!

I shifted slowly in my position, feeling a bit tired from the late night I had last night. As I did so, I felt someone shift next to me. I felt panic invade me immediately. Had I slept with someone last night? I slowly drifted my eyes open to find myself tangled with Perrie in my olive green leather couch. I took a moment to remember what had happened last night but at the end only exhaled deeply, happy that I was with Perrie and I had not slept with anyone.

I had not drunk a bit but I felt so hangover from all of the emotions I was put through last night, that the feeling of hangover was the exactly same one. But I guess that is what you need from time to time, to just let it all out, to drain your emotions and everything that is bothering you in order to be able to start again.

I yawned and stretched as much as I could without waking Perrie up or falling down to the floor. If I had not woken up right now I would surely have fallen to the ground and hurt myself. My tired and lazy eyes landed on Perrie. She was still placidly sleeping next to me. I looked around and saw a strawberry still lying on the plate from last night. I felt my tummy grumble and I knew the poor strawberry felt lonely and sad, so I stretched to grab it. I stuffed it into my mouth, feeling myself wake up already to the tasty flavor of the fruit. I could hear the strawberry thanking me and smiled in a ‘welcome’ way. My senses slowly came back and I started to fully feel again. Soon, I felt movement beside me and saw Perrie open her eyes.

Her eyes gently moved around until she laid her eyes on me. Her makeup was all over her face and she looked hilarious, if I may say so myself. “Good morning,” she muttered.

“Morning,” I yawned.

We remained there, in the couch silently, just trying to fully wake up, which took more time than necessary, don’t judge us. “I’m starving,” I stated, hearing my tummy grumble even louder than before.

“Was that your stomach grumbling?” Perrie asked amused with her eyebrows raised in disbelief.

“Yup, I told you I was hungry,” I defended shrugging.

“And you weren’t joking,” she mused. She laughed a bit and then sat straight in the couch.

“Come on,” I said getting to my feet and she did the same. “But before having breakfast you need to wash your face,” I pointed out.

“Yeah, I bet my makeup is everywhere but where it should be,” she mumbled. She walked over to the bathroom and I heard the water running in the sink and then she came back, looking way better. She did look better without the heavy makeup on. “Ah, what a night,” she sighed as she walked back to me. I had not moved from in front of the couch, waiting for her.

“Yeah, but I am glad we spent it together,” I replied and smiled. She looked at me for a few seconds gratefully and smiled as well.

“Yeah, I needed it. I needed this,” she confessed standing right in front of me.

I hugged her tightly from the side and then we intertwined arms. We walked over to the small but practical kitchen inside my apartment and started raiding the refrigerator. I left her to that task and walked over to my coffee machine and started to prepare much needed coffee for both of us as she turned on the stove. “I’m going to make some French toasts,” she announced and my tummy celebrated.

“Great,” I said. “I should probably turn on my phone. It has been turned off for like twenty four hours,” I reflected afterwards as the coffee machine started doing its magic. I looked over at her for approval and she nodded.
