"How was your first day of school honey?" My mom looks up from the papers sprawled out in the kitchen island.

"It was great! I met some new friends too." I smile as I sit looking over at her papers, "you didn't take these to your work room?"

She gathers the papers before I could get a good look of them which I found odd since she would let me read her papers, "no, I didn't have time to go upstairs. I needed to look at it right away." She finished gathering it and put it in her folder, "But it's been taken care of. If you need me, I'll be upstairs. Your dad is out so he's not here but he'll be back before dinner."

I slightly smile knowing how stressful it might be for both mom and dad. They always work to satisfy and I'm grateful for them.

Since I was now alone and nothing else to do, I decide to look over my syllabus and see what I needed for my classes. I didn't have homework or anything to study for so why not go for a little school supply shopping. Although I'm a senior in high school, I still need to keep things in order.

I grunt when I hear my phone blast in the middle of the last syllabus I was reading, quickly grabbing the phone out of my pocket and answering it, "Hello?"

"Rosé! Where do you live?" The person on the other line speaks.

"Where do I live? What- what kind of question- who is this?"

"It's Melanie. Don't you know where you live. We need to get ready."

"I live in Oakland across Suntree street. Wait why do you need my address and why do we need to get ready."

"I'll tell you when I get there. Get ready. Dress sexy, something that calls out your name. We'll see you in 10."

"Melanie? What- why-" I sigh seeing her name disappear from my phone when she ends the line.

Wait did she just say we?

---

"Rosé what are you wearing?" Melanie looked at me up and down analyzing my outfit.

"You said to where something that calls out my name so here it is." I paneled my hands showing my outfit.

"I said something sexy! Not a big baggy sweater and skirt." She complained coming inside the house and go upstairs.

"Hey what are you- I didn't tell you to come in!" I close the door fully aware that Stephanie, Nathan and Lucas were waiting for us both in the car.

I follow and soon block the doorway of my room, "I'm wearing a skirt that's above the knee. That's showy enough!"

She crosses her arms together, "Showing skin isn't always the definition of sexy Rosé. And plus that skirt your wearing is only a school uniform you wore back in your all girls private school. It looks to schooly for a party." She nudges her head towards the door, "now let me in."

I push away letting her in my room. I didn't have a choice anyway, "how did you know I attended an all girls private school?"

She rummages through my closet and starts pulling clothes out, "Words spread easily in school. You just have to get used to it." She shoves a sundress against my body and shakes her head.

"Do you even have any sexy clothes?" She walks away again rummaging through my closet trying to find another outfit.

"No, I barely even went to any parties that needed sexy outfits." I sit on the foot of my bed already over the fact that she wasn't going to find anything that will satisfy her.

She grunts and comes out of the closet with my black skinny jeans and a deep red silk tank top with black boots, "This is the best I can do." She sighs disappointed at herself, "We definitely have to go shopping soon."

I take my clothes from her hands and disappear in my closet. When I finish putting it on, I walk out giving her a spin, "Tada!"

"No." She shakes her head and walks up to me, "You need to tuck this all in and loosen it up." She does what she says and nods her head smiling, obviously proud of the challenging position I placed her in.

"You know this top is what I wear to go to bed." I said as I take my hair out of a pony tail and she starts to play with it.

"Have you been satisfying someone in bed?!" She exasperated, her voice teasingly playful.

"What?! No. It's just really comfy." I watch her as she straightens my already pretty straight hair.

"It would be so much better if I curl your hair but I have no time for that right now. I'm just making it look more better." She finishes and starts taking jewelry out of the vanity.

"Are you really this straightforward?" I watch her as she takes out my necklace, bracelets and earrings.

"I wouldn't be contaminating your stuff if you hadn't worn something good looking in the first place." She helps me put the necklace on.

"I'm sorry that I have different taste in style." I grab my phone and purse she gave me that matched my top.

"No time to argue. We're late." She reads a text on her phone and walks downstairs.

I didn't bother to say bye to mom since I had told her earlier that I was going to my new friends house. Knowing that my parents would never let me go in a party, especially during a school night.

I lock the door of the house and walk over to the car where Lucas was leaning on the car door and texting on his phone, not even noticing us walk out the house.

"Lucas get back in the car, we're late." Melanie gets in the back seat when she sees Stephanie taking her spot on the front.

"Not my fault you wanted Rosé to come to this party." He looks up from his phone, "And come to think of it, why are we dragging her in this?"

Lucas looks at me signaling me to get in first. I smile at him and get in and getting squished in between him and Melanie.

"It's her first party, we can't possibly leave her out of it." Melanie taps on the drivers seat making Nathan roar the engine and start driving.

"Took you guys long enough. I was literally about to take Nathan's place and start driving myself." Stephanie speaks up as she types on her phone.

"Yeah I see you decided not to do that and instead took mine. You know I called shotgun first." Melanie glares at her.

"Yeah yeah whatever." Stephanie fans her away and looks back down at her phone.

"You look really nice tonight new girl." Nathan's voice fills the car.

"Thanks. You look nice too." I say making me look down to hide the redness forming on my cheeks.

"Okay, you haven't even seen his whole outfit. Steph can you put some music on!" Lucas shakes his head, "All this flirting is making me uncomfortable!"

I roll my eyes as we go on our phones and wait for Nathan to get us to our destination.
