Act 12: "Rebellion.."
Kinsman Industries, Blue Sector, 3-Feb-2329
"Are you sure?" Kinsman said into his COM.
"Damn, this isn't good. Not at all." He said, as he disconnected the line. Leena moved from her pillow and snuggled against his leg, her deep blue eyes looking up at him longingly. He looked down at his beautiful Marrokian slave girl, and smiled.
"That time of the year again, my sweet?" He asked, as she nodded. Reaching down, he scooped her up in his massive hands, and carried her over to a blank wall. As he approached, he silently spoke one word, 'heaven', and the wall panel opened, revealing an opulently appointed bedroom. Lying her down on the bed, he undressed quickly, as she succumbed to Marrokian Heat.
It was over a few hours later. It seemed to him that as of late, the only time he got to spend with her was when she went into season.
Leaving her to sleep it off, so to speak, he dressed, and moved back into his office. The news he had been told was quite distressing, but if Alex was sticking to his timetable, he'd be at the alternate Earth right now.
Activating his implant COM, he contacted the Captain of his personal cruiser.
"Captain Danielsen here."
"Ready the 'Valkyrie' for launch, Kyle. We need to go to Marrok."
"You got it Boss. What's the emergency?" The Captain replied, as he turned to the rest of his bridge crew and started issuing orders.
"Our 'Gideon' friends have started their rebellion." Kinsman replied.
"Ok, we'll be ready to go when you get here."
Kinsman finished dressing, and called out to his secretary.
"Mira!"
"Yes sir?"
"I'm going to Marrok. It seems our furry friends have started their rebellion." Mira gasped.
"So why go to Marrok?" She asked.
"To get them prepared for what's coming."
"I don't understand." She said, as she walked into his office. She noticed that Leena was missing, and sighed. She and Leena never quite gelled, even though Leena was a slave.
"Well, it seems the majority of the 'Gideons' on Alpha 3 have thrown off the shackles of servitude, and stolen a few bulk freighters. They're currently in hyperspace heading for the Outer Colonies. Now, I know the OC's won't want anything to do with them, since they're Tiberius' pet, pardon the pun, project."
"So you plan to do what exactly?" She asked.
"Well, I have Leo McShane heading out to Alphenshore as we speak to head them off, and get them heading for Marrok. My friends in the Penzance Cartel will escort them out of the OC's, and give them support against the Empire. I know Tiberius won't take this rebellion lying down, and with the 'Gideons' heading for Marrok, it's going to be a real test of Marrok's defenses."
"What about your friend, Alex?"
"He's...elsewhere at the moment. I can't make contact with him."
"Oh."
"Ok, I'm off. Keep an eye on things while I'm gone. Should things go badly, there's a power of attorney in my top desk drawer. It has instructions on what you should do."
"Oh, don't talk that way. You make it sound like a war was coming, like we all haven't seen enough of that." She replied, hugging him. He returned her hug, and kissed her tenderly.
