"Lady Rosetta," said a maid entering the room of a teenage girl. "Word has just been received from your parents that they will be arriving back later this evening. They said they need to talk to you about a matter of great importance."
"Ok, thank you Ellie," said the girl turning to face her maid.
"M'lady," said Ellie bowing before leaving the room.
Rosetta turned back to her window and gazed back down at the garden below her. Playing on the grass below was a small girl with long black hair and emerald green eyes which shone whenever she smiled. Roestta watched smiling as the girl ran through the grass, skinning the top of the flowers either side of her with her hands. A ginger cat with white paws came running through the grass towards the girl and jumped at the girl when she caught up. The little girl laughed and caught the cat before cradling it in her arms, stroking it gently.
Rosetta moved away from the window and looked down at the photo on her dressingtable. It showed a family photo including a tall man, a beautiful woman, a young boy and two young girls. Her family. The man had black hair and was standing tall next to the woman who was sitting down in a chair next to him. She was wearing a long pale pink gown, decorated with flowers and her blonde hair was tied back in a neat bun and decorated with pearls. In her arms was a little baby girl with black hair, who was wearing a long white gown and was laughing. Standing to the left of the photo was a young boy with dark blonde hair who was smiling as though forced as out of the corner of his eyes he watched his yonger sister. She was staring blankly ahead of her at something in the background which no one else could see. Her face was framed perfectly by her waistlong brown hair and her outfit made her look as though she had stepped right out of a movie but she looked the least pleased to be there.
The whole photo was a bit off and although everyone else had always said that it was perfect, Rosetta had never seen what was so special about a photo which had been taken just after her sister's christening. She herself had never been christened and neither had her brother but her parents had decided that it was important for her sister to have a christening. It wasn't like her sister ever went to church or even acnoledged the fact that she was a Christian so Rosetta didn't see any reason for her to even have a religion.
"Hello Rosie," said a voice comming from over by the door.
Rosetta turned sharply to see her brother standing there.
"Finally decided to come back I see," she said walking over to him.
"Well, I had to come back and see my darling little sisters didn't I?" he asked looking at his little sister.
"You didn't need to come back," Rosetta said coldly to him. "Afterall don't you remember what happened last time you were here?"
"It wasn't that bad," the boy said.
"Yes it was..." said Rosetta thinking back to what had happened. "I can't beleive that, that happened..."
"But you liked it didn't you?" he asked smiling devilishly at her.
