"Hey Lia what kind of dress do you want?" Rosetta asked her sister as they walked through the endless corridors of dresses.

"I want a pink one which had a slightly puffy skirt but isn't impractical," the little girl responded.

Rosa looked at her sister surprised at her response; Lia normally hated anything pink or puffy.

"Well ok then," she said.

They walked around until they reached the fitting rooms where they were to measured up for their dresses.

"Hello," their fitter said. "What we're going to do today, it measure you both up and then if you tell me what kind of dresses you'd like than i'll try and find something which fits your requests as well as one or two dresses which I think would look good on you."

Rosetta nodded and Lia looked at the woman as she sat on her sister's lap.

"Who would like to go first?" she asked.

Lia practically jumped up at this and stood up on the dressmakers podium. The woman started to measure Lia around her chest, waist, hips and how tall she was before she was allowed to come and sit back down with me.

"Is there anything in particular you would like on the dress?" the woman asked Lia.

"I'd like something that's pale pink and has a slightly puffy skirt," she told the woman after thinking for a second.

"We have several dresses your size which would fit that description," said the woman. "If you'd like to wait here then I'll go and get them."

With that she left the room.

It was fairly busy inside the shop with several different nobles coming to buy new dresses for the ball.

"Hey Rosa what kind of dress will you get?" Lia asked.

"I don't really know," Rosetta responded; she hadn't really thought about what kind of dress she wanted for herself but she had seen one on the way in which she thought looked fairly beautiful.

"Here we go," said the woman coming back into the room after a few minutes carrying a pile of dresses.

"Let's start with this one," she said picking up a dress and holding it up against Lia to check that it was the right length. "This looks about right."

She took Lia into a separate room next door where she put on the dress. Once she was ready, she came out to show Rosetta and see what she thought about it. She came and stood up in front of a long mirror wall and gazed at her reflection. The dress which she was wearing was baby pink and went down just past her knee. It was studded with pearls and had a ribbon around her waist making her look even thinner than she already was.

"What do you think?" she asked turning to see her sister also gazing at the dress.

"I think it looks amazing on you," Rosetta said grinning at her sister. "But more importantly what do you think?"

"I love it!" she said.

"Then do you think you've chosen already or would you like to try on another dress?" the woman asked her.

Lia thought for a moment.

"Can I have this one please?" she asked.

"Of course," the woman said smiling slightly at the small girl.

They disappeared back into the dressing room and soon it was Rosetta's turn to get measured up for a new dress.

"Is there anything which you would like on your dress?" the woman asked Rosetta.
