I'm in Tokyo?

Everything was big. There were so many tall buildings and houses that made me feel even smaller than I already was. It kinda reminds me of Dateko's Iron Wall, so tall and scary.

Okay, maybe Tokyo isn't that great...

I felt someone put their arm around me which surprised me and made me jump.

"Hehehe sorry!" I looked back and saw a creepy tall guy with messy hair grinning evilly at me.

Is this like those alley fights in the movies?

I quickly went into a defensive stance and tried to be intimidating.

The tall dude made what I think was a confused face (honestly I had no idea, his hair was covering most of it).

He quickly smirked, "Oi Kenma. You're acting funny, did you stay up all night again? You didn't even answer my texts. I even lured you with apple pie!"

Texts? Apple pie?

Oh is he?

"Kuro-san?" I guessed. Is the guy that texted me really this scary?

"Kuro-san?" He grinned and put his hand on my head. "Hehe, why are you so formal all of a sudden? Anyways everyone's waiting so we gotta get to practice quick. Let's go!"

I followed Kuro to the school... and also got a bit lost.

"Kenma are you okay? Even for a sleep-deprived Kenma, you are spacing out too much," Kuro put his hand on my shoulder in a protective way and kept glancing at me.

For a guy that I mistook for a creepy alley guy, he's really nice.

When we arrived at the school, I was amazed. The place was huge. There were so many people chatting and walking around.

"Cool..."

The gym was also huge. There were a lot of volleyballs flying in the air, and a lot of tall scary guys.

Tokyo is intense!

A scary guy with a blond mohawk came running towards me and yelled, "KENMAAA!" really loudly.

"Oi Yamamoto! Stop shouting all the time, the girls hate it y'know," Kuro shook his head while smirking.

"Eh? They do?" the mohawk guy asked in a quieter voice.

"Yamamoto?" I asked.

Mohawk man raised his eyebrows, "Yamamoto? I told you to call me Tora, man!"

"Ah, right... Tora," I smiled nervously. This mohawk man reminded me of Tanaka.

Tora seemed to still be confused but shrugged, "Oh well, you were really late Kenma! Fukunaga kept making weird jokes about you! You know I can't handle him alone! Also, Lev asking where you were. He kept asking people to set for him."

Fukunaga? Ri-Rev? Set?

Wait...

"Set? As in Setter?" I blurted out.

"Huh? Uh... yeah. Why are you all excited all of a sudden?" Tora glanced at Kuro, who just shrugged.

"Ah! KENMA-SAAAAN!" I heard a voice scream. "Finally! Come set for me please!"

"Ehh!" The person screaming at me was really tall, even taller than Tsukishima!

"Oi Lev! We're not done with receiving practice yet!" A shorter guy shot in and kicked the tall guy from behind which made me scream in surprise.

"Pfft. Kenma what was that scream?" Kuro laughed.

This Tokyo dream is way too intense!

After all that, Kuro said we can all leave and come to practice early after class.

This Kenma was apparently a second year. The classes made me super confused and look stupid, which made Tora and Fukunaga worried. (Fukunaga: "Are you gamer past?" Tora: "What does that even mean?")

I didn't really care about classes, all I cared about was being a setter. I wanted to try doing Kageyama's crazy toss.

ding dong ding dong school bell noises

Finally! I ran down the stairs and made my way to the clubroom.

"Kenma? Running?"

"Kenma... ranma..."

I quickly changed and ran to the gym.

"Ossu!"

Everyone stared at me. Do Tokyo players not greet?

A guy with a buzzcut like Tanaka-san came up to me and smiled, "Hey, Kenma! You seem a lot livelier today. I asked Kuroo if he got you a game or something."

"Livelier?"

"Oh? You're here early..." I saw the short guy from earlier walk towards us. "Lev was being annoying and wouldn't receive until you get here and set for him."

He turned his head and yelled behind him, "Oi Lev, he's here! Don't stress Kenma out got it?"

"Yay!" Lev, the tall guy from before, dashed towards me with a volleyball in hand.

"Ri... Riefu?" The name didn't sound Japanese.

The short guy frowned, "Did you really forget his name?"

Lev looked confused and hurt. "Yaku-san, Kenma-san forgot me? I'm Lev, it's a Russian name. Remember?"

Russia? Really?

"You looked shocked... Did the games mess with your brain?" Yaku-san smiled nervously.

"Ehehe..."

We were having a practice match with another team called Nohebi. The score was 23-14 with them in the lead.

"Kenma-san! Your tosses are too low! I can't spike them!"

I think that was the 8th toss that I failed... out of 8 tosses.

"Ah, Lev! Kenma's probably tired. Let's just focus on defense." Kuroo interjected. He whispered into my ear, "Rest a bit, Teshiro will sub you. Don't overwork yourself now."

I sat on the bench dejected. Setting is so hard! Suddenly I really respect Kageyama.

"Oi Roosterhead!" the Nohebi captain called out. "Are you guys in a slump? You want us to go easy on you?"

Kuroo made an annoyed smirk, "Yeah, yeah, you snake bastards. We're gonna kick your butts just you wait."

Nekoma was so cool! They were amazing at receiving and Kuro and Lev were really great blockers. Kuro could kill block really fast spikes and Yaku-san's receives was almost as cool as Noya-san's! Tora was really loud and funny like Tanaka-san and everyone was just so amazing!

Tokyo teams are really something else!
