Chapter 6

Out of all the 3 sets, Nohebi won 2 of them.

Somewhere during the 2nd set, I think Kuro was getting a bit tired and was slower than before.

We got a lot of spikes out and misses and lost.

After practice, I helped Kuro untie the net.

I wanted to apologize for messing up a while ago. "Um, Kuro... I-"

"It's okay," He cut me off and smiled at me. "I bet they cheated or something. Nohebi does that a lot."

He crouched down and placed the net carefully on the floor "More importantly, you should take a rest you know. You've been working even harder today for some reason."

I felt my cheeks get warm all of a sudden, "Well, being able to set sounded super cool..."

Kuro raised his eyebrow.

Ah right, Kenma probably plays setter all the time.

"Ah, Kuroo-san!" We turned to see Lev holding a bunch of mops in his arms. "There's something on your shoes!"

Kuro sat down and looked at his shoes. It was too dark for me to see but there were some thin grayish things stuck on them.

"Tch... Those snakes..." Kuroo muttered. He peeled them off his shoes. "They must have dropped some adhesive pads when we switched courts. That's why my feet felt so heavy, I thought I was just getting really worn out..."

"Where'd they even keep those things the whole time?" Lev touched one of them, which got stuck on him and he just kept shaking it off.

He kept struggling with the adhesive and ran out. "YAKU-SAN HELP ME!"

Kuro sighed, "Geez, those guys are real sneaky. I'm actually impressed."

Even as he said that he seemed really bummed out.

I tried to go closer to him when I felt something sticky on my hand.

Oh.

I quickly yanked my hand and tried getting the adhesive off. I began to understand Lev's struggle. Every time I remove it from one hand, it got stuck on the other.

"Getoffgetoffgetoff!" I tried getting it off with my foot, which then got stuck too.

"Pfft- AHAHHSJHDKSD" I got completely startled by the sudden laugh. Kuro was rolling on the floor and laughing at me.

"Ahaha..." He smiled at me. "I've never seen you go so wild and frantic like that, it's funny!"

He helped me remove the adhesive and made a tiny tower out of all of them. How did he get it off so easily?

"You know, I was super worried about you. Even when you pull an all-nighter, you still go to practice and work your hardest. Even if you don't want to admit it." Kuro told me.

Me? He means Kenma right? Kenma seems to be really special to this whole team.

Kuro continued, "I never knew you could be so energetic. I kinda like this side of you."

We walked home together after we cleaned up. Kuro decided to keep the tiny sticky tower as a memory for today.

"See ya, Kenma!" He waved at me as he entered his home.

This was a really realistic dream...

I fell onto the bed got the phone.

Seems like he has a diary.

It was all organized and didn't have much written on it. Just some gaming progress notes.

I looked at his gallery. There were a lot of cats and game screenshots.

"Ah." It was a picture of Kuro feeding some stray kittens.

"They're so cute!"

There were some more photos of Kuro, one of him sleeping with a cat face drawn on him, another had him playing a video game on the blue PSP I saw before, and then one with him holding an insanely tall mountain of icecream.

"Does he have a crush on him?"

I went back to the diary and created a new entry.

Today I played in a practice match against Nohebi as a setter. I sucked and was benched :(
Someone from Nohebi put adhesives on Kuro's shoes and he got sad >:O
But I cheered him up with my funny energeticness! :D

As I finished, I suddenly remembered the writing on my notebook

Who are you?

I got up and searched the desk for a marker. I uncapped it and started writing on my hand.

As I wrote my name, I began to feel sleepy.

Today was tiring... even though it's just my dream.

It's was a fun dream...
