I blush at it as I remember the day we met. Just like it was yesterday. Trent and I smile, everyone around us also beaming. Soon, Alex takes Trent into the same room I was just in.  "So that must've been a night" Sydney says, I nod. An hour passes, and Trent and I are allowed to leave.

We both sigh in relief when we get to his car. "So, what happened to you while you were kidnapped?" He asks, being the curious overly protective husband that he is. I smile at him, but tell him. "I was going to my car to get the girls that week ago, that's why they never got picked up. So when I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar place, nothing about it was familiar to me" I explained, taking a deep breath.

Trent put a hand on my thigh, letting me know that everything's okay. "A few guys came down" I said, feeling him tense. So I continued. When I finished, you could tell he had mixed emotions. "I'm sorry that I didn't teach you more about self defense" he says as he pulls up to his parents' driveway. When he parks and shuts the car off, he looks at me. "It's okay, we still have the time to keep working on it. But nobody could've known that they were going to sneak up behind me" I explain, seeing his face soften.

"I just hate myself for this. It's all my fault" he says. I shake my head, gently grabbing his face to make him look at me. "Trent Malloy, you listen to me right now. None of this is your fault. It's all the people who did this to me. Don't beat yourself up over this, we couldn't see it coming" he slightly smiles at me.

We share a kiss before heading in. Once we knock, we hear screaming. Trent and I look at each other with a worried look, soon we hear Meg shout. "Girls, hold on!"  Trent looks at the door, raising an eyebrow as I do the same but still looking at him.

He knocks again, moments after the door opens. His dad stands there. In the background, we see both girls hanging onto their grandmother. We both giggle, both girls are getting a horsey ride across the living room and kitchen floors. We then enter the house, just watching the trio.

Minutes later, Trent clears his throat. The trio looks up. "Mommy!" Scarlett yells while running at me. "Daddy!" Jess yells while running at Trent. I place Scar on my hip, Trent picks up Jess and spins her around gently.

We talk for sometime before heading out. We get the girls in their respective seats, then getting into ours. Trent pulls out of the driveway. Soon, we get home. The girls yawn, I check the time and giggle to myself. "No wonder why they are so tired" I show my husband the time on my phone.

He smiles. We each get one out of their seat, then head into the house and get everyone ready for bed. "I love you!" Everyone says as both girls are tucked into bed. Giving each a kiss on their forehead, Trent and I turn out the lights and slightly close the door.

In our bedroom, Trent gets undressed. I go to take a shower, after all; it's been about a week since I was kidnapped. "Showering without me my love?" Trent says with a smirk as he knocks on the door. I open it, Trent has a towel and everything we need in hand. I laugh at him before letting him in.

We both take a shower, the hot water feeling amazing! I hear Trent laughing at me again, so I give him the look I always do.  "What? You forgetting I was kidnapped and held in a basement which was always freezing?" I ask him, an eyebrow raised. He smirks, "No, but I think it's funny that you just love the scolding how water" He says as he puts his hands on my hips.

We take our somewhat time, then get going. Trent gets out first, letting me rinse off.  As I do, I start humming. I finally get out, and Trent is watching me. "Are you singing If I Die Young?" he asks, I nod but comb my hair as I do so. We both get dressed.  I get into bed as Trent gets his book. He opens it and I fix my hair even more. I rub the towel against my scalp, making these cool looking waves. I wave my hair side to side afterwards, scrunching it up in places while spacing it out.

As I keep doing my hair, I keep humming, but this time a different tune. "He's the devil in disguise, a snake with blue eyes" I sing, finally brushing my brown hair out. I can see Trent slightly putting the book down and looking at me with a raised brow. "Is that supposed to be about me?" he asks with a smirk. I giggle and get up from my vanity. "No, but it reminds me of my younger self" I explain. He nods, putting the book down and wrapping his arms around me as I get into bed. I wake up suddenly, looking over at the clock on the nightstand. "3:30" I sigh, I turn over and don't feel Trent beside me. I look around, not seeing any sort of sign that he is around; the bathroom door is open and dark.

Then, I hear something from downstairs. I get out of bed, wrap myself in my bathrobe and quietly go downstairs to investigate. I see the kitchen light on, so of course me being me; I quietly sneak around the corner. Just enough for me to see.

We talk about nothing and everything, just spending our own time and nothing in between. I yawn, then get comfortable. He kisses the top of my head, and also does the same thing. I quickly fall asleep smiling.
