1 - The Dark Island

Beyond the surface of the Mainland, lightning crackled across the red tinted atmosphere as thunder growled deep into Discord Central. Off the coast of the city, stood a small island.

Its walls were made of a mixture of granite and obsidian, making it the strongest wall ever created, thus making the island inescapable. The prison stood in the centre of the island. It was guarded by deadly vulture hybrids in the air, wolves roaming in the shadows on the ground and sharks and eels circling the island in the ocean.

The main tower held four confinement rooms, each created to weaken their prisoners. One held hundreds of heavy chains to hold its prisoner down, regardless of his hysterical strength. Although his teeth could snap the chains in half, there were many more to come which would weaken him instantly. It was an endless loop.

Another was made to keep a handsome manipulative prince from using his power of illusion. On a daily basis, he was dumped into a cold tub of water that had vines and flowers surrounding the floor and creeping up the walls. If he moved too much, they could just wrap around him and squeeze the air out.

The third prisoner was locked in a room with many turns and corners, lit up by white and neon lights and was surrounded by material that were at his creative disposal. Little did he know, such an environment was going to drive him mad.

The fourth and final prisoner was locked in a small room. Mirrors stood around him, covering the soft walls that sent every sound made bouncing around the room until it died out. Many people thought it was a horrible idea to put glass around him, since his power worked well especially if it was glass-like material but the head of the project was clever to use the prisoner's power against him. He was completely broken.

With the security surrounding them and resources used against them, there was no way any prisoner could escape.

Well...that's what they thought.

'Such a tedious task it was to chase off those bloody creatures.' A telekinetic thought to himself and flicked his hand, sending a chunk of sludge away from his shoulder, leaving a large purple stain on his shirt.

"I'll have to burn this." He muttered in disgust, analysing the mark.

"I don't think you have to go through the trouble." His ears perked at the sound of the melodic voice. He looked over his shoulder and frowned.

He stood in the territory of the Mainland, where species of both Light and Darkness could stand in peace. It was primarily a meeting place for the governments of both realms to converse instead of travelling to the opposing land. Unfortunately, this plot of land was predominantly occupied by angels.

"I can clean it for you, if you don't mind." The telekinetic turned to face the girl standing before him. At first glance, she looked like a typical human but that couldn't be right. No human would be so calm standing before a mythical being like himself.

He realised his demonic features were not on display and internally sighed. He knew he should have brought a telepath with him. He could have erased the memory at an instant.

"I don't need your assistance, nor do I want it." He growled. "Fuck off, angel."

He turned away and began to walk to portal that would send him home. He could hear her tread her way across the large patch of overgrown grass, huffing in frustration. Was she that desperate?

"Look," He stopped in his tracks and held her by the wrist. "I don't know who you are or what you want from me but I don't want anything to do with you. Go back to your divine paradise and leave me be."

"No." She replied. "I want to help you."

The telekinetic raised a brow. "Why?"

"General act of kindness." She smiled brightly as her eyes squinted. For some unknown reason, he could feel heat rush to his cheeks. Fortunately, it was covered up by his tanned skin. A few strands of her white hair fell to her face.

Her skin was flawless and looked soft - as expected of all angels in the land of Light. Everything about her seemed elegant and graceful, even her determination to get him to converse with her. She did not look like the type to be involved with politics. She looked far too pure to be caught within the wave of corruption; too innocent to see such demons like himself.

His eyes softened and his lips straightened to change his expression from one of disgust to one of neutrality.

"Thank you for the offer," He softly said, pushing the strands behind her ear. He slowly dragged his hand down to her shoulder and gave it a gentle pat.

"But I resent the thought of being helped by the likes of you." He harshly squeezed her shoulder, forcing her to double down in pain.

"Oi, Kun!" Someone yelled from the open portal. "Get back here! We need to get working!" With a final glance, he moved away from the angel headed to the portal.

As satisfied as he was with the results of his actions, Kun couldn't help but feel a bit of guilt for doing such to the poor angel.
