Something buzzed past Alex's ear, and she awoke with a snap. Groaning, she got up, careful to not wake Jacob. She yawned as she stretched out all her cramped limbs. Walking to the small window, she peered out and saw the tiniest hint of light across the horizon.

She got out her phone to find 11 missed calls, and 23 messages.

"Of course. Crap," she sighed and walked over to where Jacob was sleeping. He rolled over and started mumbling something in jibberish. Hesitantly, she shook him awake. He swatted at non-existent invisible objects before slowly sitting up.

"Too early for any Jacobs to wake up," he said groggily, rubbing his eyes.

"Too bad for Jacobs, we have to get up," Alex stated.

Jacob rolled over again and finally figured out where he was, and why he was there.

"Oh Crap, " he groaned.

"Yeah."

After that, he quickly got up, shaking off any more grogginess and climbed down the ladder.

After he was to the ground, Alex scaled down the ladder after him. She tried to jump to the ground once she was within a safe distance to the ground, but instead caught her foot in the rope, and fell, toward the ground.

Turning, Jake heard her gasp, and quickly looked up to see her swinging down. He tried to catch her, but still, she fell toward the hard damp earth. Alex was aware of immense pain radiating from her head and felt warm velvet liquid drizzling down her face. She felt herself losing consciousness as Jake picked her up for the second time, and shouted her name.

"Whoops," she weakly mumbled out, as her vision went black.
