It had been a couple of days since Dust had disappeared. The only one who seemed to be worried about it was Killer. He began to become restless and wouldn't stop flipping through books of Nightmare's that had information about Au's Dust could be in. Cross had told him that Dust would come to his senses and eventually come back. Killer didn't really believe that would work.

Currently Killer laid on the couch exhausted, he hadn't slept since Dust had left. An arm was laying across his face as he lightly snored. His other arm was flopped lifelessly off the couch. Cross and Horror sat on the floor at the tea table near the couch. Papers were scattered across the table and Horror held a pencil in hand. Cross was staring at the peice of paper that was positioned under Horror's pencil.

Horror shakingly brought the pencil down and began to scribble onto the page as if he was trying to write. Some words could be made out though it mostly looked like chicken scratch. Cross sighed and picked up a pencil that he had near him, "no. Look Horror. Watch how I write it." Cross wrote a sentence that read 'I am hungry' in delicate print. Cross looked back a Horror, "now try and write it like I did. You want it to be readable."

Horror nodded and stared at his pencil before beginning to attempt writing the sentence again. Cross watched in silence until Horror looked at him smiling proudly. Cross snickered, "that's um....better. How about you try writing a letter? Just to practice a bit."

Horror nodded and gripped his pencil eagerly. Cross smirked and put a clean sheet of paper infront of him, "here. Now do you remember how to adress someone? Well first who do you want to write to?" Horror stared for a moment before smiling and waving his arms around like they were tentacles. Cross sighed, "okay. Well now you write dear. Not like the animal deer remember?" Horror nodded and scribbled a very sloppy 'dear'.

Cross continued to coach Horror through writing his letter. Horror signed his name at the bottom and looked at Cross waiting for approval. Cross smiled, "good job. Now normally you'd take this to get delivered but since we're all here together you can just give it to me and I'll deliver it for you."

Horror grinned and handed the paper over to Cross. He then stood up and stared at Killer who was still sleeping. Horror looked back at Cross and pointed at Killer with confusion. Cross frowned, "he's sleeping Horror. Killer hasn't gotten much sleep since Dust left. Just leave him be, I'm sure he'll appreciate being able to sleep longer than thirty minutes."

Horror huffed and followed after Cross who had gotten up and was heading over to the kitchen. His stomache began to growl reminding him that it was long past time to eat.

Once they got into the kitchen Horror tried to get into the cabinets to find some food. Though all the food had been put up high since Horror was the shortest and he had a habit of overeating. Horror whined and began to pester Cross about fixing him food.

Cross soon gave Horror a plate that had some left over food from the previous nights of cooking. Horror tried to eat it but was stopped by Cross, "no Horror that's not for you! You already ate lunch. That's for Blue, now take it to him! You better not eat it understand?"

Horror nodded sadly and moped out of the kitchen very disappointed he wasn't fed. Cross sighed and shook his head crossing his arms in the process. Chara appeared and scrunched up his nose, "that guy disgusts me. Remind me again why you insist on taking care of him? He's like a damn baby." Cross frowned, "it's simple Chara, if I don't take care of him no one else will. Now why again are you bothering me?" Chara groaned, "oh come oon! You say that everytime I try and talk to you! I'm only being polite by started a conversation!"

Cross rolled his eyes and began to walk towards the stairs, "more like annoying." Chara huffed and stuck his tongue out. Cross scoffed and and walked towards the end of the hallway. He stopped at room and reached for the door knob. Nightmare was out running errands so he could sneak Horror's letter in without being noticed.

Cross crept into Nightmare's bedroom and laid the note on the desk before turning around and walking out. Cross closed Nightmare's door and smiled. Chara looked at Cross with a look of worry, "oh no this can't be good. You're smiling"

Cross shot Chara a glare and scoffed, "at least when I smile it isn't because I've just plotted some evil plan!" Chara snickered, "am I suppose to take offense to that?" Cross shrugged, "you're the physcopath, you tell me."

As Chara began to yell at Cross for calling him a physcopath Cross walked back to his own room. He turned the knob and opened the door to reveal a room that much reflected his own personality. By that, it was mostly just a collection of monochrome colors.

With a sigh, Cross shut the door behind him and flopped onto his bed. Chara giggled, "theres no way you could be tired! Are you becoming lazy?" Cross groaned, "can't I have a day off every once and a while?"

Chara rolled his eyes and stared as Cross reached towards his nightstand. He then grabbed his phone that was sitting near its charger and pulled it back towards him. Cross then turned it on to view how much he had missed since he had last checked a few days ago. There were just some simple notifications from games but he was also surprised to see that Killer had texted him.

Cross opened his phone and went to Killer's contact where he viewed the messages Killer had sent him. Cross laughed to himself. Killer must've gotten angry at Dust because most of the messages consisted of Killer demanding that Dust come back before realizing he was texting the wrong person. Then it just followed with several paragraphs of apologies.

Cross then dropped the phone onto his pillow and rolled over. Chara sighed, "is this going to become a habit?" Cross looked over at Chara with confusion, "what will?" Chara rolled his eyes, "you sulking around dumbass! Don't think that I've never taken notice!"

Cross frowned, "sulking? What are you talking about. You're really acting crazy now Chara." Chara groaned, "oh come on! Don't lie! You've been acting so unhappy lately! What is it with you? I thought you enjoyed causing havoc within the multiverse!"

Cross sighed, "I'm not unhappy. Where'd you come to that conclusion?" Chara rolled his eyes, "you- whatever. Be that way then."

Cross sat up, "I should probably go and check on Horror." Chara blinked, "didn't you send him to go see that guy with the blue scarf...what's his name again?" Cross huffed as he stood up, "his name is Blue and yes I did send Horror to bring him food but knowing Horror he's either tripped up and caused a mess of things or he's eaten the food." Chara shrugged, "dosen't sound like a problem for me to deal with!"

Cross reached his door as Chara disappeared. He laughed to himself before sighing, "of course you would."
