CHAPTER 10

*Stacey's POV*

Omg what's happening to me. I'm currently in one of my student's house, about to eat McDonald's with their family.

"Oh h-hi Daisy!" This is going SO well. Luckily, Lorenzo stepped in.

"Petal, Miss Bloom might be hurt so is it ok if you take her food to the dining room while I take her up to Auntie Gabriella?"

"Kk D-Dad" she shouted and sprinted full speed back to the dining room.

Then Lorenzo did the most unexpected thing and took my hand in his. His big hand fitted perfectly round my small one. That one gesture was the most comforting thing I had felt in a while. He then proceeded to lead me upstairs.

Getting to two large doors, he effortlessly pushed them open and my eyes took in the sight of a large...doctors ward?

"Our line of work is quite dangerous" He muttered, I nearly didn't hear it.

I nodded my head, I can not explain how much I want to ask what he does for a living, but that's not my business and not my place.

After entering, I was greeted by a very kind women.

"Hi I'm Gabriella! Let me check you over!"

Even though this woman only looked about 10 years older than me, she was really motherly. It was comforting.

"Right then, Stacey and Gabby I will leave you two to it." Lorenzo gave me one last look and swiftly exited.

"You must be someone special Stacey, Lorenzo never brings anyone home."

"Me? Oh no he just felt bad for me because he may or may not of hit me with his car..."

"WHAT THE HELL?! I'm going to kill him. Are you alright sweetheart? Does it hurt anywhere?"

"Oh no I'm fine really, thankyou Gabriella. It didn't hurt me massively. I don't mean to intrude but, do you work here?"

"Not permanently, but my husband is very close with Lorenzo, his name is Antonio. We've been married for 10 years and I love him with all my heart.' She looked at me with a look of love.

"He sounds lovely, I would love to meet him one day."

She nodded gracefully. "I would love that! He might not though, let's just say he is arguably the most anti social person out there. Talking of the devil Stacey, I promised him that I would be back by now, he's cooking dinner. Wish me luck! I will see you later!"

"Thankyou for everything Gabriella, I hope to see you again soon." With that, she picked up her stuff and left the ward.

I decided I should probably leave too, but not before thanking Lorenzo for all he has done. He really did save me tonight.

Let's hope Lorenzo doesn't let her leave his life that quickly.
