A world so dark and desolate
A life so lonely and cold
A girl so broke and tarnished
Like a doll without a home
She works so hard to perfect
What she has to work with
A pretty face with a plastic smile
A thought, "is it worth it?"
Is it worth all the abandoned nights?
Is it worth all the cold?
Is it worth it to fight
When you're about to fold
From all of life's pressures?
What does she have to fight for?
Pondering to herself
A whole lifetime wasted
All the potential trashed
Because of one bad choice
From someone in her past
But then a little light shines
As she looks into the eyes
Of her precious little girl
Tiny little hands
That posses the great big world
A heart so pure and strong
For such a young girl
She sweet as candy
Dainty as a rose
Big bright baby blues
And a cute little button nose
Her mom looks down at her
And suddenly she knows
All the hardships she's faced
All the sacrificial wastes
Are most definitely worth it.
