"WHAT DO YOU think the boys would do if they knew your parents haven't been here the past couple days?" I ask, yawning.
Sam shrugs, his head on my chest, his fingers tracing shapes into my palm.
"Maybe, probably, kick my ass for not pointing that out to them?" He suggests, looking up at me with his sweet sleepy face and making me laugh.
His parents decided to to Hawaii for a week to celebrate their fourteen year anniversary, so for the past three days Sam and I have most definitely utilized the privacy.
It sounds terrible, I know, but hey, I'll take what I can get.
The kids are staying with Sam's grandparents cause even though he's a great babysitter, his parents didn't wanna dump it all on him.
He goes over to see them and help you everyday as it is, so it worked out well.
I run my fingers through his hair, undoing all the little knots and tangles, and he smiles sleepily at me.
"Hey, I love you." He says in his rough morning voice, making me blush deeply and smile.
"I love you most." I tell him, giggling when he reaches up and kisses me, hovering above me on his hands and knees.
My hands slide down his bare chest and to his sides, loving the feeling of his soft skin under my palms.
When he breaks the kiss, he very gently rubs his nose against mine, his long eyelashes brushing against his cheeks when he keeps his eyes closed.
"I like this better." I admit happily, stretching my arms above my head and sighing contently.
"What?" He smiles, his fingers tracing my ribs, and I just shrug.
"Cuddling."
"We always cuddle, is the fact we're lacking clothes perhaps what's drawing you in?" He teases, making me laugh.
"No, it's just that I feel like we aren't constantly rushed. At home we're always being quiet and discreet and sneaky after we do anything remotely scandalous. I feel like we can enjoy each other and I love it." I tell him, grabbing his hand and making him cuddle me again, his arms around me tightly.
"I wish we could do this more." He tells me, his face pressed into my chest, and I smooth my hands over his messy hair.
"I do too."
His warm body pressed to mine, our legs tangled, I find myself getting tired all over again.
"Can we nap?" I murmur, and he nods, kissing my collarbone.
Burying my face into his curls, I shut my eyes and breathe out a slow sigh.
I think I may have found my happy place.

Blinking a couple times, I squint at the bright sunlight that's shining directly into my eyes, before turning my face away.
I reach for Sam, but only find cold sheets.
Cracking my eyes open again, I find the spot next to me empty, the blankets thrown aside.
I stretch, yawning and staring up at the ceiling of his bedroom.
After casting a quick glance at Sam's alarm clock and finding it's almost ten, I force myself to get out of the warm bed, wandering around the room and picking up all my clothes I tossed there last night.
I put them in a pile on his desk and tug on a pair of underwear and one of his big shirts, it hanging like a dress on my smaller frame.
Knowing full well that I have morning breath, I quickly brush my teeth and rinse my face, just feeling so much better all round after that.
