"You wanna bet?" I asked Annabeth
"Oh please, Perce, I'd win," Annabeth said, rolling her eyes.
"Okay then. It's October thirteenth today. I bet that by the end of the school year that they'll be together. That's June seventh" "Two golden drachmas that they get together by that day"
Am I worried? Yes, absolutely, no doubt about it. Either way, this will not turn out good for me. If I do win. Annabeth would murder me before I get the chance of getting two golden drachmas richer. And if I don't win. Well, Annabeth would rub it in my face.
"Fine. Since your being so consistent about it" She said "Two golden drachmas that they'll be together by Christmas" She said confidently
"Oh? Are you sure about that Wise GIrl? THat's a pretty small gap don't you think? AHAHAHA I'm going to be two golden drachmas by Christmas. Thanks for the early Christmas present."
I knew I was in for it now.
"I'm going to go tell Sally"
Oh, shoot.
"No you won't," I said even though I knew she would.
"Oh yeah? Try me-"She got cut off as I started chasing her through the halls attempting to stop her before she actually told my mom.
SOPHIE P.O.V.
"Okay, what did you mean about the stuff with the Council. Like I know they're all fancypants but they wouldn't go as far as wiping people's memory entirely right?" Keefe said worriedly.
"Yeah well, that's what I thought too. But I saw the files. Everything. It's absolutely crazy. They're actually thinking about going through with it."
"Well, Forkle might be able to stop it right? He always does. In fact, the Black Swan always does."
"I know. But I don't think we can count on them for this."
Changing the subject Keefe dragged me back to the basketball poster.
"I'm telling you I'll be able to do it. I'm amazing at everything" He said very very cockily flexing his arms.
It's not that big of a stretch from how Keefe usually acts, but I have a feeling he was just trying to make me happier. And. In fact.
He was succeeding.
Very well actually.
I started laughing uncontrollably in the hallway. At this rate, we'd be late for social studies. But we didn't exactly care as Keefe had started laughing, corrected, wheezing, right beside me. It was different being back in the Forbidden Cities. Nonetheless, it still felt like home.
I had a nice distraction from everything in the Lost Cities. I know I'm actually here for a mission but I could, actually I should have fun while I was here. Right? Keefe was here with me, which meant that there would never ever ever in my entire life would there be a dull moment. Ever.
A thousand evers.
It deserves more.
Because around Keefe, you just can't not laugh around him. He's literally amazing.
Oh my gosh
I'm ranting about him again in my head. I'd be lucky if he didn't notice the spike in my emotions. But of course, he did.
"Hey, Foster! What were those changes in your emotions?!?" He said starting to run after me as I went to class.
I blushed and continued walking towards the room where social studies were taught.
"Hey! I thought we were skipping?" Keefe asked catching up with me.
"Well! You thought wrong Sencen!" I said laughing as he grimaced at his last name.
ANNABETH P.O.V
Percy and I were on our way to Ms. Faley's class when we saw Keefe and Sophie running around the hallways laughing. Well to be honest Keefe was more wheezing than laughing. The poor boy looked like he couldn't even breathe.
Percy stopped behind me not knowing why we stopped. I shh'ed him and pointed at Sophie and Keefe.
Sophie started to run to social studies as Keefe ran up to her. And the last thing we saw before they entered class was Sophie laughing and Keefe grimacing. However. Right before he went in, a smile appeared on his face. Not just a normal smile.
A lovesick one.
An absolutely love sick one.
That boy was in so deep and he barely even realized it.
OKAY IM SO SORRY I HAVENT BEEN UPDATING. I LOST MY ACCOUNT AND I HAD TO DO ALL THIS STUFF TO GET IT BACK IM SORRY AGAIN AHAHAH. I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS UPDATE.
