When we entered the station, people all around us were running or checking the platforms  frantically with confused expressions. My nerves were growing bigger and bigger with each step I took.

I looked around but I couldn't see any wizards. They were all muggles. Is this train right here amidst these muggle ones?

" Uhm.. Are the muggles supposed to see us board a mysterious train?"

" What? Oh nooo. The train is elsewhere. Only we will be there. The muggles won't see it."

I was really confused now. We walked a few more minutes and we stopped in front of a wall that had the number 10 and 9 on either side. What even-

" Alright. So this is how it works. We will be leaning against this wall while chatting so we don't seem suspicious. When we notice very few muggles pay attention to us, we will go through the wall and then we will be on the other side." My father explained. I was trying to understand but my mind was racing. The time has come. In a few minutes, I will be going to Hogwarts. It is so annoying how I get so nervous all the time. I can't escape it.

We did as my father said, chatting while leaning into the wall. Before I even realized, we were into a whole different station. I looked at my left and saw a beautiful scarlet train. That must be it! Hogwarts Express. I gaped in awe. I've never been with the train before so this was a first time experience.

" Here it is dear. The train. Well.. We won't hold you here for a while. Just...Oh come here." My mom pulled me in a desperate hug. I could swear I saw her sniff but it was maybe my imagination.

" You will be in good hands. Hopefully. Uh I mean.. Yes. It will be a good thing for you. Yes. " My mother wiped a tear that was threatening to fall on her cheek.

" Remember. No matter what house you get sorted  in, you are the Heir of Slytherin. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Wear that ring of yours with pride. " He beamed at me. I smiled back.
I glanced down at my ring that was seated on my ring finger on my right hand. It was a beautiful ring made out of silver that had the  shape of a snake. It was an heirloom. Every Slytherin descendant wore it and it is said to give them protection from any harm, acting like a barrier or something. I wore it because it also looked good. But it's not like I had a choice either. It was mandatory that I wore it to show my heritage.

The train whistled, signifying that it would leave very soon. My parents rushed me to a door and gave me a one last hug before departing. I entered the train, and started looking for a free compartment. I did not want to intrude in on anyone.

After a few minutes, I found an empty compartment. I took a seat and put my pets on the two seats besides me. I was looking out the window to get my nerves to settle down. I was almost shaking. It was a new journey for me and to be completely on my own was just nerve wrecking. I kept seeing kids passing my compartment and glancing inside. When I would turn to look at them, they would turn back and move on.

Another few minutes passed and I saw three people stand in front of my door. The guy with glasses slid it open, peaking his head inside. Oh dear Salazar is that -

" Hello. Do you mind if we sit here?"  He asked politely. I shook my head.

" Not at all. Please come in." I invited them in. The boy with glasses entered and sat down in front of me, next to the  window while the other two sat down next to him. I studied them. They looked friendly to me. The girl in the middle had a robe on with the crest of Gryffindor.

I went back to looking out the window when I heard the other boy clear his throat.

" HI. I'm Ron. I've never seen you before. Are you a transfer?"

" Oh yes. And Hi. Well kind of. I was home schooled for a few years but I also spent one  year at Ilvermorny. My first year that is. Ever since then, I've been at home."

" That's fascinating. You will love it at Hogwarts. I'm sure of it. I'm Hermione. " the girl smiled and extended her arm to shake hands. I gladly took it and then pulled back.

" I'm Harry Potter. Sorry I didn't catch your name. " Oh no. I didn't want to tell them who I was. I was sure they will automatically see me differently. It happened all the time. But then again, they will know who I am eventually.

" Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I am Aspen Serpentine. " the girl and the ginger haired both froze. They looked at one another. Hermione even seemed scared. Why would they ...?

Harry looked confused at his friends then back at me. " What house do you think you'll be sorted into? "

" Oh. Most likely Slytherin. Since I am the descendant of Salazar himself. I doubt I'll have a chance at any other house." When he heard that, he also paused, looking at his two friends as if trying to communicate with them without having me understand it.

He then finally turned back to me, and got up." We are sorry but I think we have to go to find some of our friends. We have to see who the new prefects are. But it was nice talking to you. See you at school."

And then all three just.. Left.. It was rather weird if you ask me. I'm not dumb. It was obvious they left because they heard who I was. Once they closed the door, I saw them furiously gesticulating with their hands while arguing.

Nice. Very nice.

I took it upon me to fall asleep for at least an hour. Unfortunately, I woke up to the train stopping. When I looked outside, I could see the outline of a huge building in the far distance. That must be it. It looked so magical.

I got up and grabbed my pets. I didn't know where to go since I was a transfer so I decided to follow the first years. On the platform, there was a huge man, motioning for the first years and transfer students (that must be only me) to follow him so I did. He walked us to some boats and indicated to get inside. I was in a boat with the huge guy and two more first years that looked terrified at him.

" Yer mus' be Serpentine right? Dumbledor' has be'n expectin' yeh fo' quite a few years"

" Oh yes I am. And I'm honored. I've always wanted to come here but due to certain events it was not possible." I said politely.

We were crossing this lake for a good half an hour when we were finally nearing the land. We all got out of the boats and followed the man up some stairs. When we entered the school, I was amazed. I cannot believe I'm seeing all of this in real life and not pictures anymore. The architecture was amazing. Wow I'm so proud of my ancestry. We stopped at a set of stairs, where a lady and an old man with a long beard were awaiting us. The man looked at me and smiled. I was so  in awe of this school that I couldn't even  focus on anything that was going on. Since I was in the very back, I could barely hear what the woman was saying. It was only when I noticed movement that I got out of my trance. The little kids were moving up the stairs and preparing to enter in a room that was separated by two huge doors.

The white bearded man came next to me and grabbed my arm softly, pulling me aside. While the others were entering the halls, we were just a few meters away from it, away from any student.

" Hello miss Serpentine. We've been expecting you. And here you are at last. I am the Headmaster, professor Dumbledore."

" Hello professor Dumbledore. I've heard great things about you sir." I had to be polite and appear nice, at least in front of him. I was not a kiss-ass, but making a good first impression was always something I was taught to be of great importance.

" I am certainly glad to hear that. Now, in a few minutes you will join us into the Great Hall, where you will be sorted. I dragged you here aside, so when the small pupils are all sorted, I will call  your name and you will walk inside. Since you are a very important figure to this school it is only fair we give you an accordingly prestigious entrance. Now, I see you've brought your pet friends. You can leave them right there with the rest of the other's trunks and companions. " He pointed to a pile of trunks and owl cages." I will now leave you here for a bit and when I call your name you will enter and come to the front where a chair is laying ahead. "

" All right sir. I will see you in a few minutes." And with that, he left. I was left alone in this empty corridor. At this point. I was completely out of control. Nerves got the best of me. My palms were sweating, my heart was pounding and I had no way to stop it.

But at last, it was my turn to walk in.
