Ronan walked into his dorm room. There was a girl with gorgeous brown skin standing in a bra and thong in the middle of the room. "What the fuck" she yelled grabbing a pillow to cover her. "Shit sorry. Are you staying in this room?" asked Ronan covering his eyes. "Well on my form it does say dorm 506 and this is room 506 so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together," she said with an edge to her voice. Ronan rolled his eyes. "Okay then, who the fuck are you?"  Ronan said crossing his arms. He had big muscly arms so it was difficult to do it comfortably. "I'm Serena. Who are you" Serena said putting her shirt back on. "Ronan. So you're my roommate then. Nice" he said with a smirk. "I'm not sleeping with you just because we're roommates. Now stop standing at the door like a lost puppy" Serena laughed.                            Ronan walked in and examined the room. The walls were painted a miserable cream. The furniture was clearly old and aged. Two single beds, two large wardrobes, two desks, a large dirty mirror, and an old window with strange stains. He didn't expect luxury but this was more like a dated nursing home than a school. Serena walked over to the ancient window and gazed at the grass area in front. "Well, tell me about yourself Ronan," she said eyes fixed on the grass. Serena was tall with long, black shiny hair. Ronan walked over to stand beside her. He was 6'2 and even then she was coming up to his broad shoulder.                                                                           "I'm sixteen, seventeen in July. I'm a twin. My parents died a year ago and I like soccer." Serena laughed a good hearty laugh. "No, I mean why are you here? No one willingly comes to Oakland," she said her voice getting serious. Ronan felt taken aback. Ronan turned to look at her. "I had to come here, my uncle made us. He lives an hour away. Toms our guardian. My father only had his brother Tom and my mother was an only child. Why are you here?" said Ronan with a growing curiosity. Serena walked to the other side of the room towards the desk. She pulled open the battered drawer and held up a vodka bottle. She took the lid of a took a big slug of it. Ronan looked at her. She was gorgeous. Serena's eyes were beautiful deep mahogany. Her long eyelashes and chiseled cheekbones made her look like a model. Serena sensed that Ronan was staring at her. "About four years ago my family moved from Delhi, India to Oakland. My parents are big investors so my older sister, Kaia, and I were fairly well off and then we got shipped off here. Oakland is shit so don't try and make the most of it. You don't know what goes on here and you're better off not knowing." She took another swig of vodka.                                                            Ronan looked back at the window. A crisp September morning. The trees had begun to shed their leaves and the ground was speckled with an arrange of oranges, yellows, and browns. It was crazy to think that only an hour ago he arrived with Erin. Erin. He didn't even know where she was or who she was with. He promised himself when Anna and Mark died he would protect her no matter what. Here he was talking to a girl who fifteen minutes ago was in a pink bra and matching thong. Ronan suddenly felt an urge to get to Erin, t talk to her, and make sure she is okay. He looked at Serena. She looked like she knew her way around here, after all, he was the new kid not her.                                                                                                                                                                      "So you're telling me that you lost your twin sister," said Serena walking down the dark ancient hallway. Serena was funny and witty but she definitely was annoying and Ronan was only finding that out now. Ronan sighed. "Yes, Serena. That is what I've said about five times in the last ten minutes." They continued to walk along, passing pupils whispering and running around. "What's she like?" she asked. "Who?" "Your sister you idiot" "She looks like a female version. Erin is smart and funny." Ronan said as he turned a corner to lead him to the locker areas. "Right. Well, where do you think she would be?" Serena asked her voice dull and bored. Ronan didn't know. That's what made him need to see her. He didn't know. The two reached the middle of the locker area. There was no one around except for two people. A boy and a girl. Leaning up against a locker. Hands all over each other. Ronan felt his heart drop. He looked at the girl who was used up against the locker getting her face eaten off. It was Erin..
