" That's why your german verbs aren't matching" Lily Abercrombie said. Razi and Lily had been lying down on Dylan's bed for the past hour. Lily had been going through Razis german verbs and grammar. Razi wasn't even listening he was too busy looking at Lily's pale legs in the short skirt. James felt sick at this. The way Razi looked at her like a piece of meat He remembered how his brother took Lily's virginity and a video. How lily didn't look comfortable how James still thinks about whether she was forced to do it. Having sex with someone behind the toilets at a summer funfair when your a virgin wasn't really Lily's style. James always believed that she was born in the wrong era, that she should have been born far away in a small village living in a cottage in the 1800s. She was always wearing cottagecore outfits, reading books like little women, drinking lavender tea and lying in the grass staring at the sun. Jame s always thought that Lily was a bit mad but sometimes he thought that it wasn't her that was mad it was everyone else. She was smart and quiet. Lily came from a city in Scotland in first year. She didn't talk to anyone except Nora and Serena. James found her little scottish laugh funny and the way she would say i instead of yes. Lily didn't have any siblings so all her rich ass dads money went to her and her mother. Fia Abercrombie, Lily's mother, was a MILF. Dylan, Razi, Henri and Zak all used to joke about how hot she was. How she looked like she was twenty when she thirty-five. Fia was the opposite of lily. Loud, blond, tanned, covered in makeup and tight clothes. Lily's dad was practically growing money. Ian Abercrombie was loaded. The boys made fun of how unattractive Lily was but James thought she was beautiful. Not like fuck me beautiful but more like a work of art. Lily was natural. "I better be going now. Um, I'll help you with your german work next week if you want Razi?" Lily said rolling onto her back. Razi was staring at her again. James didn't understand why Razi was suddenly so into her. He was one of the main people calling her simple and plain. James coughed trying to get Razis attention. Lily got up and fixed her skirt. Her curly hair was tied back by a pale purple ribbon. "I'll catch you later Razo. Bye James. Hope you're okay from the new guy." Lily said awkwardly. James was sitting on the other bed across from Dylans. He didn't know yet who Dylan's roommate was. "Yeah yeah anything b." Razi said lustfully. "Cya Lil." James said taking out his phone. There was a text from Nora; Meet me in the common room after dinner. Alone. James looked at his phone. Nora never talked to him let alone text him. James text back quickly; Kk.
James walked down the corridor towards the library. The sun was setting. Students were walking. Dinner had finished half an hour ago. Nora was sitting with Dylan acting like she didn't just text him an hour before. James opened the heavy library door. Sitting at the round desk was the librarian and year teacher Mrs Diaz. "Hello James" she said with a warm smile peering over her glasses. Mrs Diaz was in her fifties and had been working at Oakland for most of her life. "Hey, miss" James said signing his name in on the sign-in sheet. He saw Nora's name scribbled in above his. He also saw Serena Dewan's name written. He walked towards the reading area. He saw Serena sitting beside Nora at a table. Nora turned around and smirked. "Hey, twin two. Sit" she said pointing at a chair across the table. Serena looked up and smiled "Hello James". James pulled out the chair and plunged down. "Hi. What do you want from me" he asked. Nora rolled her blue eyes "What makes you think we want something from you." James sighed. Nora was playing her usual mind games to get what she wants. "Listen, Nora, I'm not playing your fucking mind games so tell me what you want or fuck off." James said coldly. Nora flicked her long blond hair. "Always the charmer you are James." Serena sat forward. Her silky black hair falling onto the table. Her deep skin glimmering under the shadowy library lights. "James they know" Serena said in a whisper. James looked at the two girls like they lost their minds. Nora was grinning and Serena looked scared. "Who fucking knows what." James snapped. "Are you that thick? The two new twins fucking know." Nora laughed. "They know what?" James growled. Serena squeaked "They know about your family. They know about You, Dylan, Henri, Zak and Razi. They fucking know. That's why they're here for fuck sake." James laughed. He let out a hysterical laugh. "Right I'm gone. Two twins who have zero connections to here apart from there fucking uncle living an hour away from here. They're parents died and that's why they're here. How the fuck would they take down an organised criminal gang that has been around for a hundred years? Sprinkle pixie dust? Grow up. The G Mafia have ties in over twenty countries and in each country at least two hundred workers. Both of you are full of shit." James looked straight at Nora. She sat there in her chair completely unbothered. Her eyes lingered on him a second too long. Nora sighed "Don't believe us, James. What would we know?" "Exactly, what would ye fucking know." He barked. " Clearly a lot more than you" Nora grinned coldly.
