imaginary friends are normal for kids right? someone they imagine up to keep them company when they feel alone or to help them cope. older people have many theories for these "friends." some say they are guardian angels, who watch them until they are old enough to go out on their own and don't need their guidance anymore. others say these friends are demons who latch onto kids and disguise themselves as loving people, but their real intention is to influence them into going down the wrong path. the most logical answer should be that they are just figments of the kid's imagination that fade as they grow older.
karl jacobs was an innocent kid, only a mere eight years old when he saw someone for the first time at a funeral for a family member. a man who wasn't nearly twenty approached him, though it seemed a bit odd when he went to tell his mom about his friend. though there was nobody really there. this mysterious man stayed around, getting to know karl and watching over him. though it might be a bit too long for comfort.
