Chapter 11: Valentine's day Mini Extra – Love Letter Incident (1)
When Lisa was a student, she had a secret crush on a boy from a neighboring class. His name was Han Jinyoung. On the day of Valentine's day, she summoned her courage and wrote a love letter…. ah, after all she only had enough courage to write a love letter.
On the the third time she returned back to her seat still carrying the pink envelope, Jungkook finally couldn’t help but ask, “It’s already third period. You still haven’t give it away?”
Lisa was alarmed, “You, how did you know?! Σ( ° △ °|||)︴”
Jungkook reluctantly opened his eyes. It was too obvious, okay?
“Is it Han Jinyoung from Class 3?”
Lisa’s ears reddened. “Yeah….”
Jungkook snorted disdainfully, “That kind of delicate skinned kid can only depend on his face to trick you silly little girls.”
Lisa lifted her eyes to look at him in astonishment. “Just yesterday Yeri used those words to describe you.”
Jungkook, “…”
He sighed and his line of sight returned to the envelope in Lisa’s hand. “Why aren’t you giving it to him? Bring out the energy you usually scold me with.”
Lisa choked a little. “…… When I just went over there, he was talking with their class’s Irene.”
Irene was the prettiest girl in Class 3, and almost the prettiest girl in the grade. She on the other hand…was just a little fat girl. Aside her grades, she didn’t seem to have any other positive points.
Lisa put her face in her hands, full of regret. Jungkook looked at her and scrunched up his eyebrows, but didn’t say any more.
When the afternoon came and class was dismissed, Lisa’s love letter still hadn’t been delivered.
She stared at the love letter with a worried frown, deciding to destroy it as soon as possible.
She was just about to do so when the class monitor came and called her to the office. Lisa shoved the love letter into the desk and followed the class monitor out.
Jungkook, who was organizing his schoolbag off to the side stared at her drawer for a second. Then he put down his schoolbag, grabbed the love letter, and also walked out.
At the entrance of Class 3, Jinyoung was surrounded by a few girls, chatting and laughing. Jungkook walked over and swiftly handed over the love letter. “This is for you.”
Jinyoung froze and then his expression went through countless changes. Right when Jungkook was starting to become somewhat impatient from all the staring, the girls that were surrounding Jinyoung began yelling loudly, “Heavens! It turns out the one Jungkook likes is Jinyoung!”
Jungkook, “…”
Hold on, you guys seem to have misunderstood something!
However, it was already too late. Those girls went ahead and spread the news all over …… because the next day, the “Jungkook publicly confessed to Jinyoung” rumor had already spread across the entire grade.
After hearing this rumor, Lisa felt restless for a long time. She was a silent for a while, recalling her own love letter which had disappeared without a trace. She looked at the person sitting next to her, whose complexion looked unsightly, and weakly asked, “Yesterday, did you take my love letter…..?”
After hearing these words, Jungkook, who had pent up an entire day’s worth of frustration, felt a little more at ease. He nodded, thinking of telling her that she didn’t have to feel too grateful towards him. Instead, he saw her open her mouth to say, “Actually, it’s more sincere to use your own love letter when confessing. Taking someone else’s isn’t very good.”
….
Jungkook died.
