Chapter 55: Thanks.
Lisa's heart rate sped up and she could hear the thumping of her heartbeat.
The nearby sound technician walked out in silence while nursing his wounded heart. After their relationship had been exposed, this husband and wife pair had become completely unbearable to watch.
After cooling off outside for a moment, he was dragged back in by Jungkook.
Lisa's state of mind improved quite a bit that afternoon. She managed to finish recording Love That Arrived Unexpectedly in one sitting.
The sound technician wondered, "Did Great Jeon's sweet talk help her rediscover the feeling of youthful love?"
He gave Great Jeon's smooth talking a thumbs up.
When the recording of the song was complete, everyone packed up to go home. After all, today was New Year's Day so everyone left work a bit earlier.
Now that their relationship had become public knowledge, Jungkook dropped all pretenses and straightforwardly gave Lisa a ride back in his own car.
Lisa finally had the free time to check on her phone when she sat in Jungkook's car. There were quite a few missed calls on her phone, including some from Chaeyoung and her mom. She returned her mom's call first to tell her mother that she was fine before dialing Chaeyoung's number.
After the call connected, Chaeyoung's voice immediately traveled through the earpiece, "Holy crap Liz, are you okay? I thought that you had ended things after taking things too hard."
Lisa raised an eyebrow and responded, "I spent the afternoon recording and I didn't bring my phone with me."
"Eh, so it was like that." After taking a breath, Chaeyoung continued, "Oh right! Your mom was also really worried about you. She actually called me."
"I know. I called her back just now. Everything's ok."
"Ah okay. I didn't get out of bed until noon today, but right when I got online, I discovered that your relationship with Jungkook had been exposed. Don't worry. As the left and right protectors of the nation's main Blinks division, Jimin and I will dispose of any traitors among your fans, and we'll reorganize the remaining fans. Basically, you can leave your fans to us. Just concentrate on recording your songs."
"Thank you, Chaeng." Lisa's eyes turned a little red. She wasn't on her own at all. She still had her friends.
"Ay, what are you getting all emotional for? There's no need for thanks. Our ten year friendship really must have grown weak."
Her exaggerated tone teased a smile out of Lisa, "When the album is released, I'll give you a fancy signed edition to serve as a family heirloom."
Chaeyoung laughed along with her, "When you're done recording your album, let's go eat hotpot again! Our group of three musketeers hasn't gotten together in a long time!"
"Okay!" Lisa promised straightforwardly and then quickly added, "I'll bring Jungkook along."
Jungkook looked over at her as he drove and smiled silently. His wife was being a fatty and thinking about eating hotpot again.
Only after hanging up did Lisa didn't realize that Jungkook wasn't driving towards home, "coco head, where are we going?"
Jungkook responded, "My mom also called me today. She's worried about us so she asked us to go over for dinner."
"Ah, alright." Lisa nodded.
After arriving at the Jeon Residence, Lisa noticed that aside from Jungkook's entire family, Tzuyu was unexpectedly also present. Sitting next to her was a youthful looking married woman who resembled Tzuyu and was probably Tzuyu's mother.
