Wolf

"I have something to tell you both!"
I explained how my wolf came to me and what she said, I left out the chains and my struggle but they didn't need to know that.
'so, you can transform?'
"I'm not 100% sure but that's what she told me!"
Lucinda's eyes lit up and I felt so safe.
"You should try." She put her hand on my cheek and kissed my forehead.
'Yes try!'

I focused on what I wanted, then the wolf I had seen before popped into my mind.
'Breathe'
I inhaled and exhaled
I felt my bones breaking and snapping in ways I hadn't felt in a very long time.
"Agh!" I cried out in pain as hair formed on my body.
Then it stopped, I looked at Lucinda to see her jaw hanging and her face as red as a tomato!
'Lucy?'
'Your gorgeous.'
'Awww how cute.'
'No really, I've never seen a wolf quite like yours?'
I looked into the mirror behind me,
'Wow.'
I was huge, almost the size of a fully grown alpha. But alphas came in dark colours, I was pure white. And my eyes were the colour of embers in the moonlight, like it's light coursed through my veins.
But I was weak and as fast as I transformed, I was back to myself.
"That felt exhilarating!"
'Your wolf is beautiful'
'Thanks paisley!'

It was true, it felt like I was finally myself again, I love paisley. But it was never the same, she's always going to be the main wolf but now I can live how I used to as-well!
Lucinda had a very confusing look on her face.
"Lucinda? Are you okay?"
She looked up at me and smiled.
"Are you an alpha?"
"No, I mean technically not."
"Technically?"
Oh goodness, never thought we'd have to tell this story huh paisley?
'She is our mate.'

"My father, was the alpha of my last pack, when I was cursed, my mom was the only one to follow.  He is still out there, I assume he is still the alpha."
"Are you his only child?"
"As far as I know. Why?"
"His pack is and will be passed to you. You are his successor, you have a pack to run."
"But, I'm here. If I need to run a pack I'll never see you!"
Lucinda looked deep in thought for a few seconds but then looked at me with a smile.
"Let's go meet your father!"
Oh shit.
'Shit'
'Paisley we might die.'
'Die if we say no or yes?'
'Both'

We started packing our bag, we decided to take Lucinda's car and drive to my father's territory, not a good idea but I told mom It'd be okay, see me and my dad got along but he was always overly busy being alpha.
"Are you exited?" Lucinda got along well with her father so I just smiled, she wouldn't understand the anxiety that came along with Keegan,
'You always call him either 'father' or 'Keegan' whats up with that?'
'He was my alpha before my dad, that's what he used to say.'
'I hate him already.' Paisley scoffed and I chuckled which caught Lucinda's attention.
"I don't like being left out of your conversations." She put her hand in mine and I knew she was jealous, she's cute when she's jealous.

We drove listening to music for a while, Lucinda had the navigation so when I fell asleep she didn't bother to wake me.
Well at least not until the smell of familiar wolves hit my nose.
I was so worried about meeting Keegan I forgot about my best friend.
"SALEM!"
The car was stopped so I hopped out of the car and ran towards her sent.
"Salem!"
I seen her turn around and look at me, Salem was my future beta as well as my best friend.
"Mazeikeen?"
I tackled her to the ground and we laughed,
"It's been so long you asshole! Why didn't you call!"
"You idiot you don't have a phone!" I yelled at her with a huge smile plastered on my face.
"Oh right!"
Then Lucinda found us, I could see a hint of jealousy in her eyes but it was gone quickly enough when I introduced her to Salem as my mate.
"Nice to finally meet mazikeen's mate!"
"Mazikeen?"
"That's my full name, Salem was the only one to call me that besides my father."

'Speak of the asshat and he shall arrive.'

"Mazikeen."
Shit.
"Hello, Keegan."

My life has been a train wreck lately so I decided to post a short version of the story rather then not post at all!
Hope you enjoyed! The next chapter well finally get to know of maze has to leave Lucinda to run her future pack, or if she has to run a pack at all.
