Chapter 2: A Guest for Sunday Dinner

Danny arrived at his house. He walked through the door and immediately regretted it. There was his partner singing at the top of her lungs. And it did NOT sound pretty. "What in the world?!" Danny was shocked. There was empty beer bottles all over the place and some shards of glass from a broken bottle. His sons looked at him with guilty faces. " What did you do!?!? " Danny practically yelled at his sons as he unplugged the karaoke microphones. Maria looked like she was about to throw up. "This is completely unacceptable! Both of you clean this mess up right now and I will be talking to you about this later, believe me." Danny said pointing at his sons. It was 5:30 and Danny's sister was picking up Danny's boys in 15 minutes to bring them to his father's house for family dinner. He decided to call Erin and tell her he'd bring them now that he was home. After the boys were done cleaning he told them (rather harshly) to get in the car. Then he helped Baez in to the front seat ( She was rather clumsy). They drove in silence when Sean spoke up from the back. "We're really sorry dad." " Sorry? That's not good enough" Danny replied. "Who gave it to her?" " What? " asked Sean. " Well, it's not like she picked those bottles up on her own, she was on the job " Danny stated. "Um, I think we both pressured her, I don't remember really well" Replied Sean. " Wait, you guys were drunk too? "Asked Danny. "We're really sorry dad." " Are you kidding me Sean?! You're underage. You are both grounded for a long time! " Danny stated harshly. "Wait, dad why am I grounded?" Asked Jack. " Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you're also underage, an influence to your brother, and you got my partner drunk! It's Sunday, you could've done something productive! " Danny sounded really frustrated. They pulled into the Commissioner's and former commissioner's driveway. "Behave yourselves, it's the least you could do" Danny reprimanded his sons. He helped Baez out of the car and knocked on the front door. Frank Reagan opened the front door and immediately spotted Maria. "Detective Baez, good to see you." Danny walked inside supporting Baez who was holding onto his right arm. "Uh, yes everyone. We have a guest for dinner. This is my partner, Maria Baez. Most of you have met her before." Danny introduced Baez to his family. "She's had quite a day" said Danny glaring at his boys.
