For those of you who have watched Rudolph and haven't figured this out yet, I'm about to ruin this for you. My little sister was watching Rudolph and the thought came to me that Rudolph is a representation of modern society. I'll explain. Rudolph represents the minority of society. He's cast out because he's different.  And the rest of the reindeers are the majority of society who cast out the minority just because of their differences. It isn't until Rudolph finds others who are misfits like him aka the minority, that he learns it's okay to be different. But there's more. This movie also shows how fake society can be. No one tries to get to know Rudolph or his friends until he saves the day. They didn't love him until he did something noble in their eyes. And this actually continues to affect him in later years because he still in some moments relives his childhood trauma and hates his nose. It's not until at the end of the movie with the toy thief does he find complete and total acceptance with himself. Hence my coming to the conclusion that Rudolph is a representation of modern society.
