Double Trouble ~38 Saga's Kids Book (Book 3.5)~

Christmas Special

-1 year Later (just to clarify, kids are 8)-

-Octavia's POV-

"MOM, DAD, WAKE UP ALREADY!" Me and Orion had been shaking them for about 30 minutes now, way too hyper as it was squidmas. Being awake since 6am was hard as we had to wait for hours just to open presents and have a great day.

Christmas day was going to be just us as a family, and then New Years Eve was going to be a day where we gathered everyone together and exchange gifts we got for each other, as well as play some games and other bits.

"Ok, ok, we are up kids." Mum sits up and yawns, stretching before kissing Dad on the cheek and coming out to the living room with us. Dad soon wakes up after and meets us there, seeing us happy made him smile quite a bit. "Since we are all here, why not you two start opening gifts?" He says, taking a seat beside our very tired mum, keeping her awake as we did our thing.

First thing I opened was a diamond pickaxe that transformed into a sword, and Orion got a iron axe. Oh this was gonna be fun when Jack gets a 2v1 instead of 1v1. Next was a few books and some Stationary for both art at home and school, along with new headphones and what seemed to be a mp3 player with music on it. From what I could see, it had been updated over time so we could have about nine hours of music for us to listen to. For example, mine had been updated a few days ago apparently, adding a song called 'your new boyfriend' by Wilbur Soot, along with the start of my anime collection, every intro for every season of My Hero Academia. Orion's was entirely different, but it makes sense since we do have different personalities.

After opening all of our presents--or what we thought were all our presents--we took a look at everything we had before giving our parents a huge unexpected hug. My presents were mostly My Hero Academia items (exceptions of sweets and other things like games, plushies and art stuff). From Deku's hero outfit for a cosplay with wig and everything, to an All Might onsie, training outfit, figures of characters, posters, and every single comic of the manga that had been published. I even had every season of the anime and both films that had been posted! My parents found me watching it, despite it being rated a 15, and after watching a few episodes with me and seeing I wasn't effected by the language or blood, they just let me continue. This collection was gonna keep growing for all I cared, and every comic and film and season that came out, I would make sure to get. My brother thinks my weeb personality has kind of gotten out of hand, and I agree sometimes--he can't say much though.

His presents were mostly stuff to do with music--he was even gifted a guitar! He also had a few games for him to play on Mum's switch, a lot of technic lego sets since he loved those, and some other bits like sweets and plushies. By the end of it all, we were beaming with happiness and loved everything we had gotten.

"Now, we have a present for both of you, and no, it's not squid phones before you ask. This thing is something that you will learn about, but it has both me and your father in, and these people you look up to." Passing over a large sheet of something with plastic diamonds, diamond pens and no picture preview for some reason, they make us look at what it was. Right now, it was just a blank sheet, a diamond painting ready to be completed. Yet some people looked familiar. Marina, Pearl, Mum, Dad, Squid Sisters? Whatever it was, the several people we standing in a group in front of a building. Did this connect to their secret job they did? I brushed it off, saying thank you with my brother and taking everything to our rooms.

That diamond painting we were given would take weeks, even months, maybe even a year if we were slow enough! So we put it out of the way, ready for when we wanted to start it. Everything else was neatly sorted how we wanted it on our sides of the room. It took a while, but we laughed at jokes as we did so, having fun together. Mum and Dad were opening their presents as we did so, only for us to walk in and not expecting to see them kissing.

The rest of the day was pretty chill, having a great squidmas roast, the best family time we could ever get, and being able to be together without our parents being called out to wherever they needed to go.

This Squidmas was amazing, probably one of the best so far, and I hope New Years Eve is just as amazing as today was!

A.N: MERRY Christmas (if you celebrate it)!!! This chapter was so fun to write, and you can start to see that I push my personalities into the story, especially with the twins. My anime phase has definitely gotten in with Octavia, along with the music she listens to and basically everything about her. (I do this as I have no control over my own character (myself in alt Series)  so why not do it here!) I also tend to have a lot more details about Octavia as like herself, I am a girl, and I am basically projecting myself onto her in the story. Orion is difficult, despite having several friends who are of the boy variety, as I don't really know what he likes except music and games. Major oof, I know, but I am trying my hardest to get more stuff in for Orion.

Anyway, part two either coming today or tommorow, depending on if I'm busy or not and have time to do it, plus I'm kinda booked up with speed running MHA on my funimation account while I can, as well as probably going out to buy stuff. Despite this, another chapter will come soon!
