Chapter 5

Jordyn

"I mean I just don't get it Jordyn..you're my best worker here. And what? Now you're fighting? I did not expect this from you" her boss said to Jordyn as she just picked at her long hair that she had lightly curled and put into a half up half down style with her edges laid to the gods.

"I know that was bad for business and you're right I should've contained my anger but I'm not going to apologize for retaliating when she deliberately provoked me" Jordyn said shrugging. She was not going to apologize. She felt bad that the video was getting some internet attention making the store appear this ghetto ass store.

"You hit her first" her boss said. Jordyn's boss was a really cool guy. He was slightly overweight black guy who didn't do anything but crack jokes. He just didn't like when people made the store look bad.

"She called me a bitch! And then threatened me. I just told you that Mister Jones. I didn't start the fight..Tasha did" Jordyn said with base in her voice as her honey colored eyes started to darken. She was getting pissed off.

"I don't agree with how you handled this situation. And I really don't care what she said to you Jordyn. It is your job to walk away from petty mess like this" her boss went on.

Jordyn was done being lectured as she grabbed her purse putting it on her shoulder. "Are you gonna fire me? Because I'm done listening to this" Jordyn said bluntly. She was done.

"No. I'm not going to fire you. Just don't let this happen again. Or you will be fired" he said seriously. Jordyn just rolled her eyes leaving his office.

Jordyn picked at her blue sweater that was above her stomach, so her beautiful pierced stomach was on display. Not all of it though. She wore baggy bleach washed jeans that ruffled at the bottom of her legs with black and white Balenciaga tennis shoes. She looked flee as always.

Her face was coated with light but visible makeup with a black winged liner with beautiful blue eye shadow. Mascara on one-hundred that brought more life to her already long lashes. Jordyn always looked her best and today goddamn did she look good. She of course had her rings on, her nose ring, and her ear piercings on full display as she always wanted to them to be. Jordyn also had her extra big hoops in today.

Jordyn didn't go to work today she was just called in to talk about the fight. She made her way to her car in the parking lot getting in making sure to lock her door as soon as she got in.

It had been a few weeks since the entire situation went down with her mom and dad. Jordyn had been with her mom a lot obviously since she was living with her now.

Yvette was a tad bit intense but not enough to get on Jordyn's nerve. She just misses having her home to herself to be honest.

As Jordyn just sat in her car scrolling through her favorite app, Twitter. She gets an incoming call from her dad. She wasn't communicating ever since went down out of respect and loyalty to her mom but her mother insisted on keeping a relationship with her father.

She answered the phone call blowing air out of her nose. "Jordyn?" her dad said as soon as the call connected.

"Wassup dad?" Jordyn asked lowly as she shifted in the drivers seat. "How are you?" he asked causing Jordyn to roll her eyes.

"You mean how is mom? She's the one that just got cheated on.." Jordyn jabbed causing her dad to sigh deeply.

"She filed for divorce. Did she tell you that? Imagine how I feel J" her dad said actually expecting his daughter to feel bad for him.

Now Jordyn didn't know her mom had filed for divorce. But she wasn't necessarily surprised or sad. Her mom had been through enough in that marriage so she didn't really care. At all.
