Part 7: Memories

"Who are you talking about?" Eldrie asks staring at Eugeo. 

"Eldrie Woolsburg. You were the swordsman for the North Empire during the sword tournament. You won." Eugeo says. 

"What? Your wrong. My name is Integrity Knight Eldrie Synthesis Thirty-One." Eldrie says lowering his whip.

"No, your real name is Eldire Woolsburg!" Eugeo says. Y/N lowers his weapon as he feels a shiver down his spine.

"Your coding is different than anyone here in this world." The familiar voice whispers.  

"Do I earn a medal?" Y/N responds.

"Sadly, no. But, I'm sure the Pontifex has noticed this." 

"Who's that?" 

"Someone who rules this world. She is a vile woman, or whatever she is now." 

"Does she look like a bitch!?" At this, a tiny laugh is heard on the other side before it calms down.

"You must focus on the task ahead of you right now. We can talk when you're ready." The voice disappears as Y/N refocuses back on the situation. Eldrie had somehow wound up on his knees with a large triangular prism sticking out of his forehead.

"Can the anime stop skipping ahead during dialogue scenes damn it!?" Y/N cusses out loud staring at the prism. 

"We don't know what happened! All of a sudden, this prism started coming out of his head!" Kirito says. Y/N starts to walk towards Eldrie, his arm outstretched toward the prism. He is stopped by a dark flame covering the area in front of him. Jumping back, Y/N looks up to see a fully black-clad knight riding on a wyvern as it stares down at Y/N, Kirito, and Eugeo. Looking at the prism, it goes back inside Eldrie's head.

"Shit...alright you two. We need to get out of here, right now. If there's one knight, there's always another." Y/N says, as he turns and runs past Kirito and Eugeo. They look at Eldrie, then the black knight, before chasing after Y/N closely. They heard shouting in the distance as the three maneuvered quickly behind Y/N.

"Where are we going?" Kirito asks.

"Trust me. I've got a little birdie guiding me!" Y/N says as the three quickly take a left in the maze. 

"Straight ahead!"

"Roger that whoever you are!" Y/N says as he, Eugeo, and Kirito run straight for a hedge. They stop as they hear voices approaching from both sides as Y/N, Eugeo, and Kirito look around quickly. Suddenly, a yellow light appears behind Y/N as he sees it and grabs the two boys by their shirts. Falling backward, the three fall back into the yellow light as the door disappears just as soldiers round the corner. The three fall backward in the yellow light as they look around one another.

"This has to be the weirdest high I've ever had," Y/N whispers to himself.

"We don't know where we're going!" Kirito yells. 

"No shit sherlock!" Y/N yells back as he turns and sees a blinding light approaching. He and the other boys cover their eyes as they land on the ground in a large room.  The three shook their heads as Kirito glances around.

"Where are we?" Kirito says, standing up.

"Beats me..." Y/N rubs the back of his swollen head as Eugeo stays silent. His eyes glance around curiously as he looks ahead and his eyes widen. In front of him is what appears to be a little girl dressed in scholar robes. She wears a pair of spectacles on her face and holds a staff in her right hand. 

'If I know my stuff, this actually isn't a little girl. She's probably four hundred or something years old...' Y/N thinks suddenly, putting his finger on his chin, having also spotted the girl.
