"I'd always sit in the backyard of my home and stare at the moonlight. I've always felt connected to the moon. I found the stars and the moonlight to be so beautiful and whenever I was under any type of stress, I'd look up at the midnight sky and all of my problems would fade away." One of the voices from the dead revealed. Throughout the entire day, I had been hearing the voices of the dead and it was now officially beginning to drive me insane.
I sat in the throne room as all of the members of the pack stood around talking amongst one another. It had been three weeks since my speech and I hadn't saw Noah since. I had no clue where he was but wherever he went had to be important because I had to step in as the Luna and Alpha because he wasn't here for the meeting.
"Death is boring. You don't have to worry about bills or anything but it's boring!" One of the voices said.
Groaning, I tossed my head back. "Will you shut the hell up? Goodness!"
Everyone in the room was now quiet which made me sign in annoyance and embarrassment. I could feel everyone's else on me and I knew that I needed to find a way to get the voices in my head under control.
"Luna?" I heard someone ask. I looked up to see one of the female pack members watching me intensely. "Are you okay?"
"Yes." I replied. "Of course! I apologize. Can anyone tell me where The Alpha is?"
Clearing his throat, I watched as the Beta who I learned was named Edward stepped forward. "Luna, Alpha Noah is in Australia with Naomi."
Sighing, I stood up. He decided to take a little vacation with his new girlfriend and leave me to deal with pack matters? I refused to do his work for him.
"This meeting is dismissed. You can tell your Alpha that I refuse to do his job for him while he and his pathetic toy vacations in Australia." I announced.
"Luna?"
"Goodbye!"
I walked out of the throne room and towards my chambers as I shook my head. Noah was the definition of a sorry excuse of a Alpha, King, and man! I slammed the door open before slamming it closed. I leaned against the vanity in my room and stared at my reflection in the mirror as the voices in my head began to speak all at once. Squeezing the vanity, I listened to the sound of it cracking. I was alone with nothing more than the voices of the dead and it was beginning to drive me crazy. I needed to reach out to someone.
"I hope this works." I whispered to myself as the voices slowly stopped. Sighing heavily, I spoke. "Tell Rayne that I need to speak with her."
I heard nothing else. I stood there for a few minutes in hopes of hearing something only to get nothing.
"Dammit!" I mumbled. I had no idea what came across me but I was suddenly throwing a tantrum. I punched the mirror, tossed the vanity, ripped the drapes from the windows, and broke the pillows on my bed. I slammed onto the bed and groaned as feathers from the pillows floated around before closing my eyes and drifting to sleep.
"What's the problem?" I heard someone ask in a playful manner.
"Please Ma'am! Her Majesty has been going through a very though time. She stormed out of a very important meeting today and we heard a lot of noise and screams coming from her chambers earlier!" The maid begged.
"Poor girl! She's gone mad!"
"Madam, it isn't a great time to visit her right now. She needs space."
"No, you need to get out of the way!" I heard another voice say. Standing up, I walked towards the door to my chambers.
"Hey! Stand down Idiot! We aren't going to attack anyone here. This isn't what we are about!"
