Chapter 1

"Jay I did it," I said
"Got a boyfriend," Will said
"No," I said
"Got to see a dog," Jay said
"No," I said
"Then what?" They both asked
"I got into the fire academy," I said
"You did," Jay said
"Yeah," I said
"You guys don't seem happy," I said
"No, we are," Will said
"No you aren't," I said before walking to my room and shutting then it. It didn't do me any good because I was living with Jay. I sat on my bed and looked through Twitter
"Of course this guy wants to go out now," I said tossing my phone on the bed. I mean didn't help that when my brother's where I was in abusive realionship for two year. But they didn't know that the only person who knew was my best friend, well actually Jay found out once I had enough what was happening to me but Will had no idea. I started cry soon Jay came in and sat next to me
"Meg I'm proud of," He said
"I know you are," I said
"Why doesn't Will seem happy?" I asked
"Because the firehouse your probably going to be placed at is 51 and they are always in the ED," He said
"Okay," I said
"And I don't think he want to see you have to go back for surgery have all 51 worry about wether your going to make it or not and we just buried dad to," he said
"Your a dumbass," I said
"Hey," he said
"You are," I said
"Okay yes I'm but I'm your dumbass brother," he said
14 weeks later
It was my first day at 51 and I knew one there I mean I went to Molly's but I hangout with my brother you can say I'm shy in that way but it just how I have been ever since you know never really letting anybody into my life except Jay he one the people I trust the most and everyone in intelligence because see me as there little sister and Hank see me as daughter I was walking up the driveway when a girl with blonde hair stopped me
"Hi im Sylvie Brett," she said
"Hi," I said shyly
"Are you new?" She asked
"Hm yeah I'm new," I said
"I can take you to bodens office," she said
We walked to Bodens office there were to people in there already which I have seen at Molly's never talked to. One of the guy wearing a Squad jacket opened the door for me
"Okay," Boden said
"Hi," I said
"So your the new member of Squad," the one guy asked
"Yeah," I said
"This is Jay Halstead's little sister Meghan," Boden said
"Nice to meet you I'm Kelly Severide lieutenant of Squad 3," he said
"I'm Captain Matthew Casey but most people call me Matt," he said
I don't know what was about Matt I felt like I could trust him. Almost like I knew him his whole life.
"Nice to meet you guys," I said
"Severide I can show her around," Matt said
"Are you sure?" Serveride asked
"Yeah," Matt said
We walked out to the locker room 
"Empty locker next mine," He said
"Okay," I said
"I put my stuff in the locker and put the piece of tape with my last name on it and then the apparatus floor and where everything was we're done right when we're called out, I put my turn out gear and got in the truck, we head to scean. Once we got there Severide started giving orders
"Halstead Kidd do a sweep of the second floor," Boden said
"Got it Cheif," Kidd said
We put on the gas meters, we walked in, and head to the second floor and did a sweep
"Halstead Kidd get out of there it's going to go it's going to blow," Matt said
And that was the last thing I heard good thing me and Kidd were on the opposite end of building from where the explosion hit
Halstead Kidd came through there radios with no answer  until Stella came to 
PROV Stella 
I could hear Matt, Boden, and Kelly yelling for us 
"Casey," I said
"Is everyone okay up there?" Kelly asked
I looked over to see Meghan unconscious I crawled over to her 
"Guy Halsteads not responsive," I said
Her oxygen alarm starts going off
"Guy's she running out," I said
"Get her out there," Kelly said
"Got it," I said
I found a way out and ran outside we got her on the gurney I rode with her 
PROV Jay 
"We got a lead on the case," Voight said getting off his phone 
"Okay," Hailey said coming back into the room from a call
"Jay you need to get Med," She said
"Is Meg okay?" I asked
"Well she unconscious," She said
"Voight was this is a guy?" I asked
He nodded
I ran down the stairs and to my truck and called Will
"Come on Will pick up," I said
I was really hoping that Will wasn't her doctor he has no idea what happened to her and why she was so mad at him when he back from New York, She was mad at because when she needed her big brother and he said he busy. She called me and I was on the next flight back to Chicago. He finally answered 
"Will, who's her doctor?" I asked
"I am and Jay I know," He said
"Yeah she needed you and you said you were busy," I said
"Jay I was," He said
"SHE NEEDED YOU IT DOSEN"T MATTER YOU COULD HAVE PUT WHATEVER YOU WERE DOING ASIDE FOR YOUR OWN SISTER," I said
PROV Meghan
When I woke up, I saw Jay sitting in a chair next to my bed on his phone. I tried to move but it hurt
"OW," I said
"Hey look came around," Jay said
"The doors over there," I said pointing at it
"But I'm here," Jay said
"Come over here," I said
He walked over to me I punched him in the arm
"Hey," Will said coming in
"No," I said
"Sis I feel bad I should have been there for you," He said
"Jay," I said with puppy dog eyes
"Will she upset with she was a time of need you were closer to her then I was," Jay said
Will walked over to the bed
"Jay can you?" Will asked
"Yeah," Jay said
Jay walked out
"Meg I want our relationship back to how it was before I left, I want to be your big brother," He said
"I do to but Will I need you to be my big brother when I need you to," I said
"I can do that," He said
