LILLIENE's POINT OF VIEW
I don't know who is going to visit here in the late of the night. I skipped my thoughts and parked my car in the garage. The main door is close but the lights are on in the living room so there must be a visitor but who?
I lazily opened the door and I saw my mother sitting on the sofa beside my father and there is a guy sitting on the arm chair and facing his back on me.
Napatayo si Mom when she saw me. "I was worried," nag-aalala niyang sinabi nang malapitan niya ako at hinawakan ang kamay ko.
"Where have you been?" may inis sa tono ng pananalita ni Dad pero hindi ako umimik dahil napako lang ang tingin ko sa alaking nakatalikod. I was automatically frozen when I realized who he is.
"It's you again, Vin...," I whispered but Mom heart it. Anong ginagawa niya rito? Kilala ba siya ng parents ko?
"You know each other?" gulat na tanong ni Mom pero hindi ko pinansin.
Vin stood up and offered his hand for hand shake. "Good evening, I am Vin Consuelo. Nice meeting you again, Lilliene," nakangiti niyang pakilala.
"I am sorry, Tito, Tita for coming here at this time. Papa really wants me to give the agreement paper today personally pero na-traffic ako sa bayan," he explained. Hindi ang agreemet ang naka-agaw ng pansin ko but the way how he addressed my parents as Tito and Tita.
"You know him?" I asked suddenly without realizing na nabigkas ko instead in my mind. I am looking outside of the window while waiting their answers and I don't want to meet their eyes.
"Her mother and I are bestfriends since childhood that's why he calls us Tito and Tita," malumanay niyang paliwanag without meeting her gaze. I only felt her hands holding mine.
Childhood best friends? I never meet her best friend, Vin's mother as she talks about. I remember Carmen but I simply shook my head and just said, "Okay,".
Nagsalita si Dad about the agreement paper thingy that Arvie brought here pero hindi ko na masyadong pinagtuunan ng pansin.
The bar is filled with noise from the party-goers because of the lively music from the DJ. I drank 2 bottles of wine with low alcohol to maintain my consciousness, at isa pa hindi dapat nilang malaman na galling ako rito. My mind is occupied with different thoughts and problems, still can't figure out what should I do next. A tall guy approached me at inabutan niya ako ng beer na hindi pa nabubuksan but I refused.
"Alone?" he asked as if he's the most stupid human living on Earth.
"Isn't ist obvious?" I said in annoyance.
"What do you want?" naiinis kong tanong dahil hindi niya ako linulubayan.
"You can share your problems with me, come on," he insisted pero tinitigan ko lang siya ng masama.
"I don't need you," walang gana kong sagot at binalik angtingin sa mga bote.
