CAROLYN POV
"Come on, Dad!" I shouted as I ran out the door and to the van. My mom was already in the passenger side, and my brother was in the back. I went and sat by him.
Today was the day. Today was February 19th. It was 11:30. I was supposed to be at school, but I'd stayed home to get ready. My brother had done the same. I'd slept in until 9, and then gotten in the shower, blow dried my hair and straightened it, put on makeup, and drew the Andy scar on my cheek, coming from the corner of my mouth, going all the way to right below my ear.
My dad slowly climbed into the van. I was bouncing in my seat, and my dad just rolled his eyes at me. He was wearing the BVB shirt I'd bought for him. He quickly backed out the driveway and drove to my highschool to pick up my friends Nancy, Brit, and Val. They were all waiting outside when we got there with huge grins on their faces.
They all had BVB shirts on, and Nancy handed me 3 cd's. "I made these so we'd have some music to listen to on the way there," she explained.
"Thanks!" I said as I handed it up to my dad to put it in. Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin started playing and I grinned and started singing along. They were my second favorite band.
She'd put some Disney music on the cd's also, along with some BVB, BB, SWS, ATL and even a little bit of Luke Bryan.
Under The Sea, from the Little Mermaid, was playing as we crossed into the state of Kentucky. We all screamed with joy as we passed the state line.
"You guys wanna stop and get something to eat?" I asked over the loud music.
"Yes!" Everyone agreed. We pulled into the nearest McDonalds and stepped out the van. We all stretched and started walking to the door.
We all decided to just order 7 Big Mac meals. Everyone scarfed down their meal quickly, too excited to savor it. We refilled our drinks and left in a hurry to get to Headliner's, where the concert would take place.
It was about 2:30 when we got there. The doors didn't open until 7, but I was determined to be one of the first people in line. Sure enough, we were the first ones in line.
I'd brought a backpack with the box I'd made in ceramics class for BVB, just in case I got to meet them. It was black and red. 1 side had guitars and music notes and stuff like that on it, one side had their old facepaint on it, and the other two just had "Black Veil Brides" and their symbol on. The lid had their initials and "Thank You" on it. The handle was their symbol. It was terrible, but I wanted to give it to them anyways. I knew I wouldn't get to meet them, but I brought it just in case.
Time dragged. Only a half hour had passed, but it felt like 4 hours. And it was freezing outside. I pulled my jacket tighter around me. The doors opened and a stocky guy with short hair and a bright yellow shirt stepped outside. He did a double take when he saw us, then his mouth pressed into a tight line. "You guys know the doors don't open until 7, right?" he said rudely. Nobody said anything, so I decided to speak.
"Yes," I said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"You probably shouldn't be out here this early. It's freezing. And I was told to keep people out," he added in a loud voice.
"Out of the building, correct? Not off the property? I came all the way here from Indianapolis and I am going to wait in the cold so I can be first in line so I can be in the front," my voice grew louder with every word. He just glared at me. He was obviously new.
I turned around (to see why no one was helping me out) only to find my family and friends staring at me in shock. Oh, that's right. They're used to me being shy and respectful. Well, this guy was trying to tell me to get out of line for my favorite band's concert. I was not gonna be very nice.
"I was told to--" he began, but I cut him off.
"You obviously don't know what you're doing. I'm not in the fucking building, I'm clearly outside, waiting to see my favorite band. I know it's freezing balls out here, and I'm still standing here aren't I? I just want to be first in line, and I came a long way to see this concert. SO, if I were you, I'd learn how to do my job before I started fucking working here!"
I heard my friends laughing at us, but I didn't care. I was beyond pissed. Seriously, what the fuck! Was this some new rule or was this guy just stupid? I decided to go with option two, this guy was just stupid.
"This is absolutely ridiculous that you're waiting out here in the cold! If something happens to you, we are not responsible!" he spat.
My face heated up as the anger spilled out in these next words. "You know what else is ridiculous? That I came all the way from Indianapolis to come see this concert and you're getting mad because I'm waiting here!"
We kept yelling at eachother like this. No one had decided to step in or tell us to stop yet, but soon, a deep, familiar voice boomed from behing me. "Hey man, it's not a big deal, just leave them alone," he said as I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I closed my eyes, knowing that I was just imagining this. That voice no doubt belonged to Andy Biersack, but he couldn't be right behind me, with his hand on my shoulder, could he? I slowly shook my head to clear it. I kept my eyes closed as I turned slowly towards him. I forced my eyes open only to find myself staring into Andy Biersack's beautiful blue eyes.
