Chapter 3 - Help wanted

Sorry this chapter is shorter than the rest

Kiera woke up the next day feeling like shit. For the first time in two years, she slept alone. She couldn't sleep at night because of this. Caylus always used to put a hand on her shoulder when he slept. She never got an actual reason why, maybe it was to reassure him that she was still there as he slept..

Great. Now she was thinking about Caylus again, he was living in her head rent free. She decided to make use of herself and apply for some jobs. Because she was living with Caylus before, they shared the money made, but they hadn't had enough time before Kiera ran off to discuss what would happen. If she was going to live on her own, she needed something else, other than Youtube, to keep paying her rent in the apartment she would eventually live in. She sat on the couch and crossed out jobs for hours, all of the positions were already taken. She was beginning to lose hope and decided to take a walk. She passed a small shop called 'Urth Cafe' with a 'help wanted' sign outside. It was just her lucky day, she went inside and got the job immediately, turns out they were desperate for another waiter. She started working as soon as she got the job. She wasn't paid generously yet, but it was something, and she urgently needed something. 

While waiting, a cute ginger customer walked in. He introduced himself as Tomo. Kiera thought carefully about this, she had just been broken up with by another ginger a few hours ago, and this probably wasn't healthy, but she needed something to take her mind of Caylus. She flirted with Tomo a bit and before she knew it, she was asked for her number (which she gave to him) Kiera soon closed up shop and headed to her "home". She would soon have her life in order again, all she needed was patience. Sometimes Kiera would lay on her bed and remember how she ended up there in the first place, then she would cry and remember his amazing smile, one that seemed to light the room up. She would never outright admit that she missed her ray of sunshine, in fact, she kept telling herself that she was fine and whenever she felt like she missed Caylus, she would text Tomo and the feelings would disappear. 

Caylus on the other hand, jumped straight back into Youtube videos, like nothing happened, he kept all of Kiera's stuff in the same place she left them, it made him feel like she was still there somehow. Caylus knew he had to get over her because his parents would see right through his act, he never wanted to break-up with Kiera because of his parents, but that's what his parents believed happened. They called to say how proud of him they were, they could hear the crying from outside and automatically assumed they broke up. Which wasn't a lie but it still felt like it didn't happen to Caylus, that it was all a dream. 

He had to take his mind of Kiera for once and focus on himself, that's what Kiera told him to do. By focusing on himself, she meant moving on, so Caylus scrolled though his Instagram dm's until he found one particular girl intresting, her name was Michelle. They began talking and Caylus (being the charming one) asked her for her number. It seemed like Caylus was doing quite well, aside from the crying and depressive moods, he was fine (Or so he thought). Sometimes he would sit on the floor, exactly where he did with Kiera, and would miss her smile, her laugh or her voice. He would just miss his Kiera. Even though they were broken up he couldn't stop saying 'His Kiera'. She wasn't his property but the nickname wouldn't leave his head. Eventually though, he gave up trying to faze the word out of his brain. It was like his brain had a little section for Kiera which it wouldn't let go. He found this extremely annoying because he thought Kiera didn't miss him so why should he miss her? Then he would immediately text Michelle and those feelings would go away, but not for long.. Caylus had to sleep with his hand on a pillow just to sleep, but it just wasn't the same. He had trouble sleeping because of this, he hoped Michelle would visit soon because he knew he couldn't go one like this.

Months went by with no communication between another until one day Caylus decided to go to the one cafe he hadn't gone to in LA..
