Caylus walked into the shop and immediately stopped in his tracks, he was beginning to sweat as he saw the waitress serve a customer some food. Caylus was almost out the door when Kiera turned around. As soon as she turned around, they locked eyes..

Oh shit, oh shit, oh. shit.

They stared at each other in horror, Kiera almost dropped the tray she had been holding. The world seemed to have stopped. It had been a few months after the "break-up", both of them had moved on, so why was this so awkward? Kiera's customer was starting to become impatient as Kiera was just standing their gaping at Caylus, who matched her facial expression. He thought he could escape before Kiera saw him. Kiera suddenly looked away and apologized to her customer, she excused herself and ran to the bathroom. Caylus just stood there motionless, it was like his brain had short-circuited. He then decided that helping Kiera was worth the awkwardness and ran to the bathroom. He heard her in one of the stalls. Of course, it was weird that he was in the girl's bathroom in the first place but he didn't care. He placed his forehead on the door of the stall and chuckled at how stupid he looked, he then began,

"Kiera-" his voice cut again, though this time, he cleared his throat and started again,

"Please open the door," he managed to spit out. He heard some shuffling from inside the stall. Then the door opened and he properly saw Kiera for the first time he had in months. Her mascara was smudged up (because of what he assumed was crying) and her hair was a bit out of place but she had never looked stunning to him. His eyes softened at the sight as he stared her down. Kiera was glaring at him straight in the eye, she couldn't believe the audacity of him. To run after him was such a Caylus move, even if they had broken up, he would always want to help her, protect her, even if it meant protecting her from him. That's why he was almost at the door when she saw him, he wanted her not to feel the pain of her seeing him. Yet here he was making sure she was okay, she guessed he thought he had nothing to lose as she had already seen him.

She watched Caylus' eyes soften at the sight of her and her heart immediately fluttered at the sight. His chocolate-brown eyes were so dark and mysterious, she wanted to stare right into them until she found lost herself in them. She wanted to hug him and kiss him until the sun came up the next day. She needed his warmth and his smile to keep her going. Tomo was just a filler for the void in her heart, and the void wasn't going away. But Kiera was stubborn and didn't want to show Caylus this side of herself. So she returned his soft eyes with a cold, hard stare. She could see his eyes twitch in disappointment, but only for a second. He picked himself up and said,

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay, but since you're fine, i guess i can leave then"

He turned to walk out of the bathroom. Kiera longed to call for him, for him to turn around and kiss her as the world stopped around them. She longed for him to say that everything was okay and that he loved her, but alas, that moment did not come and Caylus walked out awkwardly. She stepped out and watched him try to hide his sadness, from the entrance to the bathroom, as he walked out of the store. Mentally noting never to come back because he was unwanted here. He stopped to fish out his phone from his pocket and called someone. Kiera then left the bathroom completely as she was being called for an order. A car parked outside the store as Kiera walked across the store to serve a customer. She glanced at the car, it had only taken a few minutes, she guessed the person driving the car must've been nearby. She watched tentatively as she saw Caylus smiling and greeting someone with the exact smile she fell in love with.

He was blocking the person he was greeting, so Kiera walked across the store to see what was going on from another angle. She saw another woman hugging Caylus by the neck. This time she dropped her tray and ran straight to the bathroom. She could feel Caylus' stare on her as she ran to the bathroom to cry for a second time. She knew she was being a hypocrite as she had a new boyfriend of her own but she didn't think he would move on so fast, didn't he say he still loved her all those months ago? Now that could've changed but she doubted that, until now. This hurt more than the break-up. At least then she knew he still loved her. She leaned against the wall. It had been 7 months since she let this situation make her emotional. And she promised herself it would be the last time. Or so she thought.

Caylus winced as he saw Kiera run to the bathroom a second time. All because of him. Though he hid this and smiled a toothy smile at Michelle. A smile only Kiera would be able to tell was fake..
