"How many states away is Jasper again-?" Nightblade's voice cut through the sound of Starblade's engine as she drove, the Autobot leaning back against her seat in his holoform as he watched the fields of corn pass by. It was almost enough to put him to sleep, or at least it would be enough had he not awoken from recharge an hour ago. For now, he was awake, and he felt the urge to do something, even if that something was to just talk to his sister.
"Uh, I have no idea," Starblade replied, the femme seeming to slow down just a tad for a moment. "We started out in Missouri, and Jasper's in Nevada. Missouri's eastern midwest, and Nevada's next to California. So maybe... three or four states away?"
"Hm... Maybe." It was times like these where Nightblade wished he had google, but alas, all they had was Starblade's GPS, and according to said GPS, they still had a good few days of driving ahead of them. "When do you wanna switch out?"
"Maybe in a few hours. I'm not sure, but I'll tell you when I start tiring," Starblade replied, only to then continue driving in silence before speaking up once again. "...Hey Night."
"Yeah?"
"Have you been having any uh... Weird dreams lately?" It was a strange question, or at least Starblade figured it was, but at the same time, she felt it was important to ask, especially in times like these. "Because I've had a few, though they don't fully feel like dreams. They're almost too vivid to be dreams... If that makes sense."
Nightblade didn't respond at first, the Quotevian sorting through his own thoughts in order to come up with a good answer to her question. "...I think so. They're all about Nightblade's life, both good and bad parts..." He couldn't help but cringe at the last bit, mostly due to just how bad those specific parts were. "...Have you been having ones on Starblade-?"
Now it was his sister's turn to fall silent, though this time he could feel a sense of dread weighing in the air. "...Yeah. It's... worrying."
"It really is." Another pause, though this time it was merely to slow down and carefully pass by a tractor that had been rolling down the road. After that though, the femme hopped back onto the topic, worry clear in her voice. "I have a bad feeling about these dreams. I'm not so sure they're normal."
"Is any of this normal-?" Nightblade wheezed, only to then frown as he looked over his holoform once again. He'd grown better at moving around in it, but sometimes it felt weird to see himself as this man rather than a young teenage boy. "Everything's been changing since we, you know-"
"Yeah, and we really shouldn't have jumped the gun." Starblade's voice grew firm for a moment before she let out a sigh, indicated just how stressed she was over this. "...Hey. Here's an idea. Tell me about yourself."
"What-" Nightblade couldn't help but pause, the Quotevian not knowing what to do other than just stare blankly as the dashboard for a moment. "...Tell you about myself? We're twins, remember?"
"Just trust me on this one. Tell me about yourself, like your life and all of that." She didn't seem to care about how strange her request was; she merely cared about his answer, and eventually, Nightblade humored her.
"My name's Jaden. I'm fourteen, and I'm from Kentucky..." Nightblade seemed to trail off for a moment, the teen trying to think of what else to say without being even more awkward. "I have a twin sister named Jaclyn, and we both like Transformers. Our OCs are called the Blade Twins, and they're Autobots that used to be human, but the Decepticons came along and-"
