Hermione was making tea in the kitchen while Ginny was writing something on the kitchen table. It was eleven at night. "I can't believe they put the extendable ear in the vent. That's just disgusting. If I was you 'Mione, I'd rather date the ferret than any of them." Ginny mumbled as Hermione set down two mugs of tea.

After George had burst into the room, Ginny went over to the twins' room to discover not only Fred, but Harry, Ron, and Charlie listening in on their conversation. Hermione would have yelled at them but figured they needed her pity after facing the wrath of Ginerva Weasley. After that, Hermione dragged Ginny to calm down, and while Luna slept.

"What are you writing?" She asked as she looked over the parchment that Ginny had been writing on for the last half hour. "Pros and Cons list," Ginny said, taking a sip of her tea.

Hermione looked it over.

Charlie Weasley

Pros- Mature, has a job, smart, nice build, handsome

Cons- Big wage gap

Harry Potter

Pros- Boy-Who-Lived, sweet, decent grades, nice eyes, good looks

Cons- Temper, can lose control, definitely NOT a Ravenclaw, more like a brother

Draco Malfoy

Pros- Good looks, rich, nice body, good grades

Cons- ferret, called you the M word, bullied you for years, related to Death Eaters, suspicious

Fred Weasley

Pros- Sweet, respectable, funny, good looks, can be mature on occasions

Cons- sometimes immature

Ron Weasley

Pros- decent quidditch player, can be sweet on occasions

Cons- hot head, eats like a pig, can sometimes be disrespectful, doesn't use his brain, thick head

George Weasley

Practically the same as Fred but only fancies your looks

"Ok, so how is this gonna help me, Ginny?" Hermione put the parchment down and took a sip of her tea. The list seemed to make her decision harder.

"Well, Hermione, whoever you take to this ball will most likely become your boyfriend. So you need to clear your head and make the right decision." Ginny said firmly.

"Well, how do I make a decision if my thoughts keep nagging at me?" Maybe Hermione shouldn't go to this ball. She didn't want feelings to get hurt and she definitely wasn't ready for a boyfriend.

"Isn't obvious? You need to clear your head. Tomorrow meet me at the lake with your swimsuit and a towel." Ginny said, taking a sip of her tea.

"But Ginny, tomorrow is supposed to be windy and cold," Hermione said, recalling the forecast predictions from the newspaper. Despite the rather nice weather they were having, tomorrow was supposed to be cloudy and windy.

"Exactly," Ginny said and stood up and walked upstairs, leaving a bewildered Hermione.

Hermione stood freezing in the wind, with a towel around her body. She hoped Ginny would get here soon. She said she had to get something from the shed and that she and Luna would be there soon. Hermione looked at her watch. It's been ten minutes!
