Vaskàr landed on a small hill in a huge valley of green grass. The scent was clear and dry while the air was silent like a slivering lizard. Vaskàr saw a few unicorns while many pegasi were lazily lying in the grass. Vaskàr smiled small.
He saw the unicorn and pegasi infants running along the smaller hills as some were trying to jump high in the air. Vaskàr backed away, not trying to receive any attention from the young unicorns and pegasi.
Vaskàr once again didn't want to revive any attention from the young ones. He slowly walked away, heading for nearby groups of trees.
Vaskàr walked through the trees, seeing most of their roots were sticking out instead of staying in the soil. He soon took notice of a near-dying tree and a thin stream of water. Vaskàr walked and knelt to the ground. He took a fast glimpse at the tree first; its leaves were black and brown and its bark was yellow. Then he stretched his left arm toward the stream.
Vaskàr sank his hand deep into the water but the stream was an inch thin. It was impossible to get his whole hand wet. Vaskàr moved his machine hand over and dumped it in the water. In his mind, he knew he controlled everything in his body. In his mind, he used his machine hand to suck up some water, which worked perfectly. Instantly, the water in his machine hand came out his left hand, which switched to the dying tree. The water sprinkled on dying. Then the leaning branches of the tree immediately folded upright. The leaves were sparkling with envy green. The roots of the tree expanded wide, and the tree grew ten inches taller and wider in length.
Vaskàr stood up and backed away. In twenty seconds, the tree was gloaming in life again. Vaskàr looked proud of his work.
"You work hard to preserve nature," said a soft, seducing voice.
Vaskàr slowly turned his head to a waterhole that the stream was going to.
Mermaids were flipping their scaly fins out of the water. They all were looking at the popular Mystical Warrior, with tempting eyes.
"You have no idea," said Vaskàr. "I am a Mystical Warrior. What did you expect?"
"Someone older and taller and muscular," answered a light, brown haired mermaid.
Vaskàr chuckled. He slowly walked to the waterhole but not too close. He remembered stories about mermaids attracting sailors to their doom. In the stories, mermaids were believed to be disguised as humans before revealing their monstrous forms.
"There is something I have to ask: how is it you are with sea serpents? They're bigger, faster, stronger, and scalier than you. Not to mention the fangs they have for biting."
"Oh, you really have to learn about us," she said in the seducing tone.
Vaskàr started to back away. "Are you trying to make me fall for those looks and tone of voice of yours? Believe or not, I heard stories about mermaids that they led sailors from ships to their deaths. In legends made from humans, your kin is considered to be sirens. Creatures who take deceiving forms to attract any human sailor, to eat them."
"You heard wrong. We don't do anything like that. We don't eat humans, we only play with them."
"Then Divra wasn't the only creature that left this cave, you somewhat left to go to the open waters of the planet. You left without the others knowing."
"No living thing took notice of us. We simply decided to take these watery caves to the outside world."
"Do you know how dangerous that is!?" snapped Vaskàr. "Hanno is on the loose, he and other two people are rising to power, Årvondor is still in the core, and there are billions of humans, billions of souls at stake here. I'm still in training and not to mention that I'm now a leader of every single creature here in this cave, except the centaurs. And the dragons are about to call me a king, which I don't have enough knowledge to lead an army yet. But yet, I found out about my past: Octavo mentioned the Skirmish at the Temple. I know that story. I was the baby who made my escape only for my mother to be left behind and get killed by the dark figure."
