I really wish I could shift already. I'd run as far away from here as I could. But I'm not sixteen yet. And I may die from the shift if my mate isn't there.

All I can do now is wait. Four more months and I can find my mate. Maybe he can take me away from this hellhole. Hopefully he can. I don't want to be rejected.

My brother has locked me in my room or the night. The rest of the pack is out at a party.

There isn't a day that goes by without me wishing that I died instead of my parents. It was them or me. They chose to save me instead. But why? I mean. I can't even be respected in this house. Even when my brother is temporary alpha right now.

I open my window and look out. Then I walk into my tiny bathroom and take a shower.

I feel all my muscles relax and a slight pain to where my bruises are.

As I walk out of the bathroom. I hear something move.

"Hello?" I ask, clutching my towel.

I suddenly feel a large figure tackle me and I fall into the floor screaming.

"Who the fuck are you and what are you doing in my house?!" He asks pulling my hair back.

I suddenly can't breathe. And start hyperventilating.

"Answer me!" He says using an alpha tone.

That's when I realize who it is.

Tyler.

But I still can't breathe.

He pulls my hair farther back and I let out a shriek.

"Answer!"

I can't.

"Fine then if you won't answer then I'll punish you for intruding."

I start crying and shaking.

I feel his hands reach for my towel as his hands slowly make contact with my bare skin.

""Ma-" he starts saying. And then stops himself.

What was he about to say?

He stops trying to take my towel off and gets off of me. I take a deep breathe for the first time since he was on me.

My body is still shaking as I curl up in a little ball.

I can tell he's trying to find out who he just almost raped.

I lay there as I hear him sit down in my bed. He even swore at himself.

"Who are you?" He asks again with a calm voice.

With all the energy I have left, I weakly mutter,"you were my best friend.." Right before darkness takes me away.
